UNEC MLS INDUCTION CRISIS: Graduates Protest as Ceremony Faces Uncertainty
Hundreds of Medical Laboratory Science graduates of the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus staged a protest on Friday following the sudden cancellation of their induction ceremony.
Families have already traveled into town and checked into hotels, custom souvenirs are printed, and food and drink catering has been paid for. On average, each inductee has spent over 500k preparing for a day that was just pulled out from under them.
It's officially cancelled!
Imagine spending 5 years in med school, and one extra year not because you failed but your department and council is too incompetent to induct as many students as they admit. They finally give you a day of graduation only to stand you up.
The incident surrounding the induction of @unn_tweets 025 is really a sad one. It breaks my heart that they have had to go through such an obviously avoidable circumstance.
My heart goes out to them, and I sincerely hope this gets resolved as soon as possible.
Let it be known that University of Nigeria Enugu campus let us bring our families for induction after one year of sitting at home only to cancel on us without good reason.
Over 400 graduated students with no hope of induction.
Induct us and let us go
#Mls
This is just devastating💔

The financial loss is huge mehn🥲
