HOW TO USE SCRIPTURES TO PRAY FOR RESTORATION
Many people read the Bible, but very few know how to turn the scriptures into prayers. One of the most powerful ways to pray is to pray the Word of God back to Him.
When you pray scriptures, you are not praying empty words. You are standing on God’s promises. Heaven responds to God’s Word.
There are people today who need restoration.
Restoration of peace.
Restoration of health.
Restoration of finances.
Restoration of marriage.
Restoration of prayer life.
Restoration after betrayal, pain, delay, failure, or disappointment.
The good news is this: God is still in the business of restoration.
The Bible says in Book of Joel 2:25:
«“And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten…”»
This means God can restore wasted years, missed opportunities, lost joy, damaged relationships, and broken dreams.
How then do you use scriptures to pray for restoration?
First, find a scripture that speaks about restoration.
Second, meditate on it until faith rises in your heart.
Third, turn that scripture into a personal prayer.
For example:
Instead of only reading Joel 2:25, pray like this:
“Father, according to Your Word, restore every good thing I have lost. Restore my joy, restore my peace, restore my spiritual life, restore my opportunities, restore my strength in Jesus’ name.”
Another powerful scripture is Book of Jeremiah 30:17:
«“For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds…”»
You can pray:
“Lord, You promised to restore health and heal wounds. Let every wound in my heart, body, and mind receive healing today.”
The Bible also says in Book of Psalms 51:12:
«“Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation…”»
Some people are alive physically but empty spiritually. They no longer have joy, hunger for God, or peace within.
Pray:
“Father, restore my spiritual fire again. Restore my hunger for prayer. Restore my joy and closeness with You.”
Another powerful restoration scripture is Book of Isaiah 61:7:
«“For your shame ye shall have double…”»
This means your story can still change. God can replace shame with honor and tears with testimony.
Never pray scriptures casually. Pray them with faith, boldness, and consistency.
Do not allow your present condition to make you doubt God. If God restored Job, He can restore you. If God restored David after failure, He can restore you. If God restored Peter after denying Jesus, He can restore you too.
Sometimes restoration is not instant, but every sincere prayer moves heaven.
Today I pray for you:
May God restore every good thing the enemy stole from your life.
May He restore your health, your peace, your family, your prayer life, your purpose, and your joy.
May your lost years become years of testimony.
May God give you beauty for ashes and joy for mourning.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
This morning I pray for you:
May God strengthen you where you feel weak. May He bring peace to every storm surrounding your life. May doors that have been closed for years begin to open by His mercy. May your heart not grow weary while waiting on God. May every silent prayer you have cried in secret receive an answer from Heaven.
I pray that this day will not work against you but for you. May favor locate you in places where your name was never expected. May God protect your family, your health, your purpose, and your mind. May every spirit of fear, discouragement, delay, and confusion lose its hold over your life in Jesus’ name.
May the Lord restore what pain, disappointment, and battles have tried to steal from you. May your hands never be empty. May your home carry peace. May your life become a testimony that points people back to Jesus Christ.
And for the person reading this while silently fighting battles nobody knows about: May God remember you. May He lift your head again. May He send help, healing, and strength to you today.
In Jesus’ name. Amen. 🙏
In scripture, worship was never just words. Worship involved reverence, surrender, humility, obedience, honor, and posture before God.
The Bible reveals different postures people took when encountering the presence of God.
1. KNEELING BEFORE GOD
Kneeling is a posture of surrender and humility. It is an acknowledgment that God is King and we are dependent on Him.
“Oh come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.” — Psalm 95:6
Paul said:
“For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” — Ephesians 3:14
There are moments you cannot stand proudly before God. His presence will humble you.
2. LIFTING HANDS IN WORSHIP
Lifting hands is a biblical act of surrender, prayer, and worship.
“Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD.” — Psalm 134:2
Many people lift hands at concerts, football matches, and worldly celebrations, but feel uncomfortable lifting hands before God. Yet scripture shows us this is a holy posture of worship.
3. BOWING DOWN BEFORE GOD
Bowing is a sign of honor and submission before the greatness of God.
“O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness...” — Psalm 96:9
The elders in heaven bow before God continuously because they understand His majesty.
4. FALLING ON THE FACE BEFORE GOD
There are encounters with God that remove pride completely.
“And they fell upon their faces, and worshipped God.” — Revelation 7:11
Abraham fell on his face before God.
Ezekiel fell.
John fell.
Many throughout scripture could not remain standing when confronted with the glory of God.
5. STANDING BEFORE GOD
Standing can also be a posture of reverence and attentiveness.
“They stood up and praised the LORD God of Israel with a loud voice...” — 2 Chronicles 20:19
Not every worship moment looks the same. Sometimes you stand in honor before the King.
6. DANCING BEFORE THE LORD
David danced before God with all his might.
“And David danced before the LORD with all his might...” — 2 Samuel 6:14
There is a holy joy that comes from encountering God. Worship is not always silent tears. Sometimes worship becomes celebration.
7. SINGING, CLAPPING, AND SHOUTING
“O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.” — Psalm 47:1
Heaven is not silent. Worship in scripture involved singing, shouting, instruments, thanksgiving, and joyful praise.
But here is the deeper truth many miss:
God is not only looking at your physical posture.
He is looking at the posture of your heart.
You can kneel physically while your heart is full of pride.
You can lift hands publicly while living far from God privately.
Jesus said:
“The true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth.” — John 4:23
True worship is not performance.
True worship is surrender.
True worship is obedience.
True worship is loving God genuinely.
True worship is honoring Him with your life even when nobody is watching.
The enemy copies many spiritual principles, but the original belongs to God.
As believers, we must return to biblical worship — worship rooted in scripture, truth, holiness, reverence, and intimacy with God.
May God raise believers who do not only know songs, but truly know how to worship Him in spirit and in truth.
I made a decision…
That my social media pages will glorify Christ, reveal Christ, and draw people closer to God.
I am not here for accolades.
I am not here for validation.
Every morning, I wake up and depend on God—whatever He places in my spirit to share, that is what I will post.
Because this is more than content… this is an assignment.
And I often say this:
Even if I die today, I will go fulfilled—knowing that I obeyed God…
Knowing that there are souls I have impacted through these posts…
Knowing that for the past 3 years, when God placed this burden on my heart to share the Gospel on social media, I chose to represent Him.
Not perfectly… but faithfully.
If my posts have ever blessed you, encouraged you, or drawn you closer to God…
Then I ask for one thing first—pray for me.
Pray that I remain steadfast.
Pray that I do not grow weary.
Pray that I finish well.
Because the battles are many… but I am determined that nothing will stop me from serving God.
Marriage will never fix a pornography and masturbation problem.
Let’s be honest—there are married people out here still struggling in silence. So it’s not about access, it’s not about having a partner, and it’s not about “when I finally get married, this will stop.”
This is deeper.
This is a heart issue.
This is a sin issue.
If lust is not confronted, it will follow you into marriage.
If discipline is not built, a ring will not create it.
If your appetite is not surrendered, marriage will not sanctify it.
Marriage is not a cure for lust—it reveals it.
You don’t defeat pornography by increasing physical satisfaction.
You defeat it by transforming your desires.
The problem is not just what you do in secret…
It’s what your heart loves.
Until you begin to hate sin—not just the consequences, but the sin itself—you will keep negotiating with it.
Until Jesus becomes more satisfying than your cravings, you will keep running back to what destroys you.
This is why the gospel is the only true power that breaks chains.
Because it doesn’t just modify behavior…
It changes the heart.
When a man encounters Jesus:
• His desires begin to shift
• His convictions become stronger
• His appetite for righteousness grows
• His tolerance for sin decreases
Freedom is not found in a relationship status.
Freedom is found in surrender.
You don’t need a wife to fix this.
You need a renewed heart.
You need discipline.
You need accountability.
You need the help of the Holy Spirit.
And most importantly…
You need to love Jesus more than you love your sin.
Because whatever you love the most—
that is what will control you.
Choose freedom.
Choose purity.
Choose Christ.
The STRONGEST man in the Bible (Samson), the RICHEST and WISEST man (Solomon), and a VERY ANOINTED man (David) were all taken down by the same thing, LUST.
I commend JOSEPH for RUNNING because we don’t negotiate with lust, we FLEE from it 💛
