Find it funny that you can buy the blue ticks now on most platforms. Just so you know that the person talking wants to believe they are something they're not.
Does anyone have any tips on dealing with epilepsy as a single adult. I've been having a bad spell since November, and it's got more and more difficult to survive. #EpilepsyUk#Epilepsy#seizures#EpilepsyAwareness
@TriciaRoush7 Unfortunately, that isn't an option for me. Both of my parents are no longer with us. I am going to see my GP, but I will have to be referred to the neurologist team before they can look at my medication. Thank you ๐
@missdaisyfdoo No, thank you for your help, I really appreciate that you took the time to make suggestions. It made me feel a little more seen as well. It's been a very hard few months. ๐
Need to vent, and no one cares what you say here, so here goes. The NHS is a bag of shite, I have epilepsy and have had it for 9 years. There has been no consistency, several different meds, giving me multiple NHS numbers so doctors and GPs say I have no history of epilepsy.
@missdaisyfdoo Thank you, I have been to the GP and the neurologist, but they dont seem to communicate with one another very well. Having seizures nearly daily at the moment, so contacting them is really difficult.
@EpilepsyInst Being epileptic in the UK is so hard, little to no help, and being just left to fester in filth for days. Given different medication, time again, but no answers. Being close to death doesn't seem enough of a reason to be given help.
#Epilepsy has affected people from all walks of life, including artists, writers, musicians, athletes, and activists.
These influential figures are often recognized as having lived with epilepsy, reminding us that a diagnosis does not define a personโs potential. ๐
The Purple One, Prince, was born on this day in 1958. Did you know in addition to his 7 Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe Award, an Academy Award, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee struggled with childhood #epilepsy? #EpilepsyAwareness
