Though I think serious casualties in Iran mean that their attention would be focused elsewhere – there's only so much bandwidth people can process at any one time.

Trump would rather avoid the whole Middle-East mess, but Netanyahu just simply won't let him.

Boulos, in such a situation, may prefer to keep his head down: out of sight, out of mind.

A thumping loss in the mid-terms means Trump will be hounded by Congress over corruption as well as calls to invoke sec. 4 of the 25th amendment.

DRC will be the last thing on US minds.
