Trying to change a system which only serves to enrich the already-wealthy, make the poor pay for it, and trash the planet in the process. See website for more.
@duolingo Since last week the Double Experience Point Facility has stopped working. I get the notification of double points (night owl, early bird etc) but they don't actually show on the exercise or get added to my total. This is on both Web and Android. Why is this?
@astrojenny@Femi_Sorry You know very well that the single biggest issue in the referendum was immigration, and that rejoining the Single Market would require us to sign up to Freedom of Movement. Yet you don't mention it, once. You're not going to change anyone's mind by spouting disingenuous rubbish.
@benandjerrysUK Really? So why, across the world, do we have the concept of nationality, passports and borders then? Or do you think all such things should be scrapped? You may think you're being clever, but I, for one, will never buy your products again. I'm sure I'm not alone.
@LewisHamilton You could do a lot more to help disadvantaged people and wouldn't come across as such a hypocrite, if you weren't a tax avoider living in Monaco getting out of paying tax on your $50m/year salary. Maybe your money would be more useful than your words? Or is that too much to ask?
Lewis Hamilton likes to take the moral high ground and lecture us all on racism, while he himself has relocated to Monaco to avoid paying any tax on his $50m per year salary. Complete hypocrite. https://t.co/PDVkOphvRQ
@Kevin_Maguire That's a pathetic statement Kevin - you're better than that. As you know full well, in the said article he was defending the right of women to wear such garments after they had been BANNED in France, Belgium and Denmark.
This is very interesting - South Korea reports that previous apparent cases of people catching Coronavirus more than once (meaning we don't develop immunity) were in fact erroneous. https://t.co/4K2aTRSh1h
Having been roundly criticised for lying about the impact of Coronavirus, the Chinese government now decides to announce that the death toll in Wuhan was actually 50% higher than they previously said it was. https://t.co/p2sQrsI2cK
A glimmer of good news - this Coronavirus seems to only mutate very slowly, which could mean that a vaccine, once developed, would give lifetime immunity. That is different to flu, for example, which mutates very quickly, and so comes back every year. https://t.co/PRnp66NZz6
Things going to a worrying new level in Italy, as stress from three weeks of lock-down and shortage of food, is leading people to robbery, civil unrest, and threats from organised crime. https://t.co/akNGWSOcsg
@DerbysPolice @DerPolDroneUnit Glad I don't live in Derbyshire - the police there don't seem to be capable of interpreting the laws they're paid to enforce.
@PhilipPullman @Alan_Saunders57 There are different schools of thought on the Oxford comma, and the fact you have chosen to criticise the Brexit coin on this basis is incredibly petty-minded of you. From a great writer I would have expected better.
@Mobeen_Azhar Hi Mobeen, just finished watching Hometown and wanted to say what an absolutely brilliant documentary. Not just the content but the whole approach, structure, presentation and style. What a great talent - well done!
No matter how unequal our world - things just continue to get worse. Latest report shows the world's richest 26 people now have as much wealth as the poorest 3.5bn combined! https://t.co/BildhkcFpG
A fat-cat drug millionaire who made his fortune by overcharging the NHS for off-patent drugs (costing the NHS an estimated ยฃ50 million) has now been made an OBE in the New Year's Honours list. https://t.co/ww3Y5JmJV5
Yesterday was Fat Cat Thursday, when top bosses have earned more in 3 days than the average worker gets in a year! However Free Market supporters at the Adam Smith institute said it was wrong to highlight high pay, as this just leads to feelings of 'envy'. https://t.co/YruIJ8Uzdc
