Born in Vienna, Frederick George Kimmel was 13 when his family migrated to Australia in 1938.

He enlisted in the RAAF in 1941, aged 18. He died two years later in a military accident, just two months after Japan surrendered.

I screen print these posters by hand onto 80gsm Kraft paper. The red is acrylic ink which I add by brush. If you ever see one of these on the street you know that I put it there personally.
