Zoomed up likeability ladder!!
Yes...but still behind every teal MP, almost the entire Labor and Liberal frontbench, Greens Larissa Waters and Sarah Hanson-Young, and Bob Katter.
I’m no expert, and I know it’s a complicated issue, but the horrors in both Israel and Gaza - particularly since October 7, 2023 - have GOT to stop. The death and destruction are heartbreaking. The traumas for hostages and their families are unimaginable.
Plus, the anti-Semitism and Islamophobia that it’s all stirring up among extremist groups are inexcusable.
That’s why I’m proud to see Australia joining Britain, France and Canada in trying to “give peace a chance” today. Lots more clearly needs to be done but, just for the record, I reckon this is a positive step.

The RBA has just cut interest rates for the third time in six months.
Today’s quarter of a percentage point cut brings the cash rate to 3.60 per cent and will make a meaningful difference to millions of mortgage holders around the country.
Under @AustralianLabor, inflation is down, unemployment is low, real wages and living standards are growing again, more than 1.1 million jobs have been created, debt is down, the economy is growing and interest rates are falling.

I just spoke successively with the Prime Minister of Australia, @AlboMP, and the Prime Minister of New Zealand, @chrisluxonmp.
I welcomed their participation in the New York Call on July 29.
Australia, New Zealand, and France share the same commitment to the immediate release of all hostages held by Hamas, the large-scale and unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, and the implementation of a political solution based on two states, living side by side in peace and security. We are working together towards these goals ahead of the upcoming Conference on the Two-State Solution to be held in New York during the UN General Assembly.
I also informed the Australian Prime Minister that France fully supports Australia’s bid to host the next Climate COP in 2026. France and Australia, key partners in the Indo-Pacific region, share the same ambition to protect the environment and fight climate change.
Having just had to dump the anti-work from home policy mid election because it was so unpopular (people like having agency over their lives actually) the obvious strategy is to double down and now declare war on all people who work from home. Incredible work
