Robin Williams with gorilla Coco, who knew 1,000 gestures and understood about 2,000 words. When Coco was told that the actor had died, the gorilla was very upset.
Dr. Patterson told Coco that "we lost a dear friend, Robin Williams." Coco wrote ICRY LIP" pulled away and "became very gloomy, bowing her head and shivering her lips."
Williams visited the research center where Coco lived in 2001 and the actor managed to quickly make friends with her. And for the first time in six months, spending time with Robin, Coco felt joy, after her gorilla friend Michael died.
