@BiggBean001@BR1TTLEB0N3S Those one-off stories are legitimately the best parts of the manga so far, giving the vibe of the early chapters of yuyu hakusho that didn’t get adapted to the manga like with the dog, the girl on the bench, and the tanuki where it’s just good stuff that explores the setting
@BiggBean001@BR1TTLEB0N3S It finished a mini-arc and IMMEDIATELY pivoted to one-off stories that fleshed out each of the main characters by letting them breathe on their own. It’s now 2 chapters into what looks to be its first major arc that’s establishing an actual antagonist group
@G0denel121@mikeyfunboy@djpyscho10646 I think Devilman’s manga is better than crybaby and the OVAs but that crybaby and the OVAs are incredible works. Nagai’s artwork, use of negatives for impactful moments, and the parts tied to the period in which it was released make it both unique and incredible
@kittenwishstar Pro wrestling’s main audience is men from 18-49, and the story very clearly did not have super long running potential, probably like a year and a half of circulation to properly tell the story it pitched. Neither of those are what shonen jump wants.
@kittenwishstar I think the biggest problems alien Headbutt had were also directly related to the fact that shonen jump was probably a bad match for it. If it were in a publication with an older demographic that didn’t want to look for the next long running hit it probably could’ve completed
Genuinely so unfortunate. Alien Headbutt started in such an amazing way with those first 11 chapters being bangers but unfortunately it just didn’t resonate with the target audience of shonen jump. It had an energy that shonen jump manga just don’t have and amazing art to boot.
@younghavok@KingJae@Mrplaystation73 The movie is where the manga started, the show’s first 2 seasons cover a prequel arc that the anime moved to the very start like berserk’s golden age and then the start of the manga, followed by the maximum tournament arc
@Glassesgir10143@M0BILESUITZER0 You could also say that the destruction of White Base and the Gundam are their own character deaths, since the Gundam was the robot on the cover and White Base was the main cast’s home for the majority of the show.
@Glassesgir10143@M0BILESUITZER0 To the people watching this as it came out, Char was effectively dead after killing Kycilia. They only even hinted that he may have survived in movie 3 2 years later and then confirmed his survival an additional 3 years after that.
@A1_Dandy The problem is that actually getting there without a good way to 2-for-1 is really hard and league militaire patches that up but then doesn’t allow Penelope flight form in the deck
@__SunnyKiisu__ That’s not even scalping anymore if you’re keeping/using them. Scalping is explicitly buying something from a store for the sole purpose of resale
