2 ways to see Saints. 1: "they're so amazing how can anyone do what they did, Praise the Lord." 2: "they are following Christ and I'm following them and that small sacrifice I made yesterday and the one I'll make this afternoon are made by a strength I am growing into because I'm a child of God." Neither way requires me to talk myself or othes down. Faith in the faithfulness of God doesn't include negative comparison of myself with Saints, at least I can't see why it should.

@Jeff_Palouse Invoking good on another should be as natural to us as breathing. Our breath is from God arguably an even more intimate connection to Him than our image. As we stand under a shower of blessing it makes sense that we can't help but pass it on.
