@TaylorTwellman @MLS Not a pro/rel truther but I do think that "oh shit we might relegated" type of pressure would help the MLS teams. Mexico hasn't had pro/rel for a while either but the cultural pressure remains. The American culture and current MLS setup doesn't just provide enough of that

@pkedit Why isn’t the system more regionalized, with less overlapping youth setups? What’s stopping us from creating a single entity where everyone is tracking the same talent pool, elevating players when needed, and working together to ensure top players don’t "slip through the cracks"?

@pkedit I got into soccer heavily around the 06 World Cup and kinda expected the U.S. youth system (territories, scouting, and coordination) to be further along by now. I don’t follow it as closely these days (kids), so I could be way off, but it still seems overly fragmented.
