The only real conclusion we can draw from the fact that 85% of the /England) squad signed for academies at the age of 8 is that 8 is the earliest age you can register for an academy. Correlation is not causation.

@TsuDhoNim Change was needed. Some extending their stay of execution.
Scoring options in front 8 dont excite me. Bench limited in game changers for the faster game.
Even with my reservations I still think we will win.
@ShaneSmith197@colnoc77 I experienced this exact thing this week with my daughter. U12 go-games friendly. Only girl substituted off. She has a physical disability. "Someone had to come off" was response I got. We had 13 players. Coach played 12. Other team had multiple subs over the 13. Let kids play.
Having experienced the negative end of this topic as described in the last few days, I strongly urge those involved in GAA go-games to read this. Inclusion is everything. As a coach, no All-Irelands are won at 11 years old. Cop the fuck on to yourself.
“At increasingly younger ages, training becomes more intense, selection becomes harsher, and the environment becomes more outcome-driven. The language shifts from enjoyment to performance, from participation to selection”

My "Miracle" today was to get to stand on the side of the 18th on Course 3 of @MedinahCC. I could feel the greatness that stood there before me.
The history of this place is wonderful.
Thanks to Richard and his team with special shout to Greg on the 1st tee box. @RyderCupEurope
A great post to start any internal club conversation. Tweak for smaller side games.
To those on bench, give them a job of observing the play and contributing to the half time/end of game team talk.
Develop leaders without them knowing it.
@bubbagumpino Szoboszlai has the pedigree and talent. But he needs to work on mentality. Got smart after scoring against City and Liverpool lose. Got smart while with Hungary against Ireland. Parrott stuffed them.
Moments help win games. Needs to be demonstrated for 90 mins. Until then.....
I have 2 tickets for the Donegal v Mayo game tomorrow. 1 Adult and 1 Juvenile. Season tickets not travelling.
Small donation for a local fundraiser requested from whomever takes them.

I'm looking forward to joining Kevin McDaid tomorrow (Wed 11th Feb) at 8pm to discuss my use of Kevin's ShotArc web app over the past year. For any coaches/analysts interested in finding out more about ShotArc, you can join the 30 minute chat here https://t.co/9tPNd4bQIk
@emmetnichol@ShaneKeegan81@PlayerGaelic Who knows the rule? Kids need to be brought to training. There is a possibility that a child is late or miss for training because of the parents.
I have seen how rules turn a panel of 26 at u11 into a panel of 11 at minor.
