Medical advise has really changed for Botsetsi since I had my first child….
Now with my 3rd, spirit is a big no no for mohubu wa ngwana (and for your c-section scar) and ngwana o bewa a kaname, which I was previously told is a big no incase they vomit
How times have changed
@mirthdot Interesting that it didn’t take flight, ba re what were their reasons for shutting it down? Every media body needs a regulator to ensure accuracy, not silencing, but just guidance on what is appropriate
@RreModiseIII Ya media freedom is definitely a whole other issue that needs attention, mme le yone ya di podcasts e tlhoka leitlho, you can’t have people publicly sharing opinions as facts as and when they please, especially on such huge platforms; media is media, and we all guidelines
It’s time podcasts are also regulated by a code of conduct and media ethics body…….e.g. BOCRA
Just to ensure podcasters abide by media ethics and codes of conduct….all media practitioners are bound by rules, whether TV, print or radio, podcasts shouldn’t be any different
@LuvuyoBelu It’s really more about ensuring accuracy and transparency, not about muzzling anyone; media ethics are more about ensuring we distinguish fact from opinion, those lines are blurred way too often on podcasts
@dumilaiweman Regulatory bodies for media platforms aren’t about censorship, but more about ensuring transparency, accuracy and accountability; you can’t have people just “saying what they want” without any sense of fairness or truth, especially on such large platforms
@MizPoloko Living there was a real mind f*&k for me because even though apartheid is “over” it’s not over!! Everything has an invisible line drawn, from the clubs, to the schools to the neighbourhoods, nothing really changed after ‘94
@MizPoloko South African demographics are very distinct….their history made it so; so their media perpetuated it for the longest time…there are very clearly white media platforms and black ones, True Love, Drum etc were always for black people, You, Huisgenoot etc for white
Random question, but we have makgoa in Botswana that are Batswana through and through, born and raised…….
How come I’ve never seen a lekgoa civil servant? A police officer, soldier, nurse etc?
When I wanna wake him up in the morning, I just make a loaf of bread…Works like a charm every time!!
That smell of a freshly baked loaf is irresistible……even in deep sleep 😂😂
I believe this……
Sa le ke bona the American Instagram girlies dissing each other about who has REAL diamonds and calling out the other girls for having “synths” (fakes) e be ke bona go re our comeback is inevitable 😂😂😂❤️❤️❤️❤️
