Learning through Science. After a nature walk using our 5 senses, we collected fall items. We listened to several stories about the fall and changing leaves. We even got to create our own Leaf Person!
UPK-C has been very busy. From the letter of the week with directed drawings, to marble painting pumpkins to a stained glass craft. We love the fall ๐๐๐
Today we celebrated Haitian Flag Day. UPK-B listened to Freedom Soup by Tami Charlesโ. This lively holiday Haitian tale is a celebration of family, culture, traditions, and community.

This week, UPK-B went on a nature walk for the First Day of Spring! Students used their 5 senses to discover things they could see, touch, smell, hear and NOT taste. After, students drew their findings. #prekfun#learningthroughplay
Happy P.S. I Love You Day! All week students worked on projects describing ways to be kind to one another. Today, students made a picture for a friend. As pictures were given out, students gave friends hugs as they said PS I love You. Students were smiling with excitement.
Each student received a video today to celebrate Special Persons Day. The look on their faces were priceless when family members came on the screen. #prekfun
PreK was able to participate in their first school assembly!! Frog and Toad joined us at MGV to share some classic stories. Students were excited to learn the difference between a frog and toad back in the classroom. ๐ธ
UPK had a great time learning about different Spring weather. Students made predictions on โHow many drops will make it rain?โ Each student received their very own cloud and estimated how many drops it will take until it rained.
UPK-B had a great time during our 5 Senses Unit. We tasted different foods, smelt essential oils, made egg shakers, stuck our hands in a mystery box, made Oobleck, and went on a nature walk. #prekfun#learningthroughplay
Last month, students learned all about different community helpers. We had two special guest, an NYPD Detective and a local Baker. I also had a great time dressing up for my class!
