Welcome the @EUCouncil decision to strengthen sanctions on Russia.
New measures target the military-industrial complex, shadow fleet, propaganda networks & human rights violators.
Sustained pressure matters. Every step brings accountability closer & weakens Russia’s ability to wage war against Ukraine.🇺🇦🤝🇪🇺

Russia cynically plans to host “Worlds Children’s Conference” in illegally annexed Crimea.
Russia is using children for propaganda. We call on partners countries not to allow the use of their children by 🇷🇺for this purpose. 🇷🇺 should return all 🇺🇦 children to their families. 2/2
Russia/Ukraine: While continuing its war of aggression against Ukraine, Russia engages in despicable acts of illegal and forcible deportation and transfer of Ukrainian children away from their families, and in their indoctrination. 1/2
Brick by brick, we are collapsing the foundations of Russia's war economy.
Today, we are presenting our proposals for a 21st sanctions package against Russia.
This includes a temporary freeze of the Russian oil price cap and designations of institutions used by Moscow to generate revenues and circumvent EU sanctions.
It will target banks, weapons manufacturers, oil traders, refineries, and crypto operators in third countries.
The drone explosion in the port of Constanța shows that Russia’s war is increasingly spilling over into EU territory.
I spoke with Foreign Minister @oana_toiu about today's developments and expressed the EU’s full solidarity with Romania.
The ultimate responsibility for what happened rests squarely with Russia. As President Zelenskyy told Putin in an open letter yesterday: Moscow can stop this war any day.
Next week, EU Defence Ministers will discuss how to further ramp up our support for Ukraine and increase the EU’s own defence readiness.
#China: On the 37th year mark of the #TiananmenSquare massacre, the EU continues to honour the victims and stands with all those who peacefully defend human rights and fundamental freedoms. Their struggle for truth and justice must not be forgotten.
I spoke with @NikolPashinyan about Russia’s recent restrictions targeting Armenia.
This is nothing short of economic coercion, and it is unacceptable.
Europe stands firmly with Armenia. We are preparing a support package.

What is the true cost of sanctions for Russia? Plummeting oil and gas revenues (with Iran war windfalls offering temporary relief, not structural recovery), punishingly expensive borrowing, and the loss of key markets. (1/3)
The Russian drone crash into apartments in Galați was a blatant and serious violation of Romania’s sovereignty and European airspace.
I spoke with Foreign Minister @oana_toiu this morning to convey the EU’s full solidarity with Romania.
Russia has long ago stopped respecting borders.
Moscow cannot be allowed to breach European airspace with impunity.
EU Foreign Ministers yesterday vowed to ramp up pressure on Russia, increase support for Ukraine, and invest in Europe’s own defence readiness.
Russia’s war of aggression has crossed yet another line.
A Russian drone incursion struck a densely populated area in Romania, injuring civilians.
On EU territory.
We stand in full solidarity with Romania and its people.
As we continue strengthening our security and deterrence, especially on our Eastern border, we will keep increasing the pressure on Russia.
We are preparing a 21st package of sanctions.
We stand united against Russian pressure.
Remarks by @kajakallas to the press at this morning’s EU foreign ministers’ meeting, with a correction regarding the diplomatic presence in Kyiv.

Russia wants us to discuss who talks to them,
And they are already picking who is suitable for that.
Let's not walk into that trap.
Negotiations are always a team effort, with a defined strategy.
That’s why the substance that we discuss today in Cyprus matters much more.
My press remarks ahead of today’s meeting of EU Foreign Ministers ↓
🇷🇺 threat to foreign citizens & diplomats to leave Kyiv is an unacceptable escalation. @eu_eeas summoned the Chargé d'Affairs, calling to stop hitting civilians & 🇷🇺 to engage in genuine peace talks starting with a full and unconditional ceasefire. @EUDelegationUA stays in Kyiv.
Russia again threatens diplomats & foreigners, urging us to leave Kyiv. But we are not going anywhere!
Russia wants fear. Panic. Isolation of Ukraine. It will not work.
🇪🇺 is not going anywhere. We stay in Kyiv. We stay w/ Ukraine. 🇺🇦🤝🇪🇺
Russia’s massive attack on Ukraine last night shows the Kremlin’s brutality and disregard for both human life and peace negotiations.
Terror against civilians is not strength. It's despair.
We stand firmly with Ukraine, with further support on the way to reinforce its air defence systems.
Another massive attack on 🇺🇦 w/ Kyiv as main target.
Russia launched 90 missiles, incl. ballistic, & 600 drones overnight. Even launched “Oreshnik” at Bila Tserkva.
Homes, schools, museums & infrastructure hit. 83 civilians injured.
🇺🇦 needs support. This terror must stop 💔
Türkiye: The Court’s annulment of CHP congresses raises concerns about rule of law, democratic pluralism, fundamental rights, and judicial independence.
Political opposition must participate freely without fear of repression.

Claims that the Baltic States allow Ukraine to use their airspace are utter nonsense - and Russia knows it.
Moscow’s threats against the Baltic States are not a sign of strength, but of weakness.
Russia is failing on the battlefield in Ukraine and is trying to intimidate us into reducing our support for Ukraine.
The right response is to do the opposite: increase our support to Ukraine and boost Europe’s defences even further.
Russia’s public threats against our Baltic States are completely unacceptable.
Let there be no doubt.
A threat against one Member State is a threat against our entire Union.
Russia and Belarus bear direct responsibility for drones endangering the lives and security of people on our Eastern flank.
Europe will respond with unity and strength.
We will continue reinforcing the security of our Eastern flank with strong collective defence and preparedness at every level.
