County Commissioner @MichaelPipe was invited into the 6th Grade B-Day Academic Literacy classes by Mr. Schmidt and Mr. Tranell to talk about the importance of reading and understanding nonfiction in his role as an elected official. Thank You, Commissioner Pipe!

Learning enrichment teachers Mrs. Brown and Mr. Ahern visited Mrs. Lukehart's class. Students used the Desmos graphing calculator to create pictures of snowmen. After finishing a unit on the area and circumference of circles.

Rafa Rafa is a cultural simulation in which each PFMS sixth-grader is part of a "home" culture -- Alpha Land or Beta Land. Each civilization has different value systems, communication methods, and beliefs about work.
