@JohnyJ_15 When can we stop hating on Kyle Isbel, his D is elite and has a career WAR right at the precipice of being everyday starter caliber. We know what we are getting from him every year. For 2/3 of the year he will be average at the plate with hot stretches and one long slump.
@MitchMaurer2@pheasants4ever Mitch, we did not find any dead or frozen birds while we were making our walks, which is encouraging. The food source is covered in ice right now, but a good sunny day shiuld thaw some of that out.
Make sure to check out this year's #RoosterRoadTrip at https://t.co/fgJkHYRttW while the Road Trip crew is out in Montana, we were shooting limits of ice covered birds in Northern SD. @pheasants4ever
@MitchMaurer2@pheasants4ever Mitch, the land designated as a part of the Aberdeen Pheasant Coalition is all public access and enrolled in the SD game fish and parks Walk-In-Access Program. I believe at this point there is nearly 2,000 acres enrolled in the program with a goal of hitting 4,000 acres soon
Yesterday marked the start of the PF 2020 Rooster Roadtrip. Follow along as the gang travels across Minnesota, and enjoy the start of a beautiful Fall season https://t.co/R4hi06dp0j
Me and Juno started our fall yesterday evening!

Dove opener couldn't come soon enough this year. Yesterday's opener was a blast. We got our limit in just over an hour, but more importantly, Juno got to chase live birds for the first time. If you look closely you will see her peeking through the back window of the truck!
Today I lost one of my best friends. Remi, you were more than a dog, you were my partner in the field, and a blessing in my life. 3 years was not long enough, but I'm happy you went peacefully, and dont have to suffer. You were already wild and crazy, now your free. RIP
Yesterday afternoon's veterans hunt was a blast! I was honored to be a part of such an amazing experience with a great group of guys. @pheasants4ever@SDPheasants https://t.co/g6hhwQZ9aq
I look forward to duck opener every year. There is nothing better than enjoying the beauty of nature around you with friends and family. Getting a couple limits is just a bonus
Pheasants need blocks of diverse grass with residual material to build a nest as well as overhead cover to provide protection.
If I were a hen pheasant, I would much rather build a nest in the native grasses shown than the sparse stand of brome grass in the last photo!
As spring planting season arrives & projects start going in the ground, we want to thank the landowners, chapters, members, partners, & our @pheasants4ever biologists who make these projects possible!
We couldn't make the huge impact that we do on habitat without your support!
Sometimes mother nature changes your plans...and sometimes you have to suck it up, throw on the boots and get muddy! Come July this pollinator plot will be well on it's way! #pollinators#habitat@SDPheasants
The next generation of grassland managers are hitting the ground! 🐮
Rotational grazing isn’t just great for the cow, it also promotes diversity in habitat for wildlife!

I used to wonder if it was possible to replicate the diversity on native range in a cropping scenario. Enter, season long covers. They continue to gain traction in the Dakotas & provide a multitude of benefits for wildlife & #soilhealth. Both look like awesome habitat to me.
