Sometimes you take a book home so good that you just devour it. Wait, no, the dog devoured it!?!?
Ethel, beloved pup to a Bladensburg Branch Library family, took the phrase "devouring a book" a bit too literally. Her family says: “She's truly the best dog despite this book-eating episode.” We have to agree — look at that precious face!
P.S. This is your friendly reminder not to leave your library books in the chew zone 😉

Last week, the Greenbelt Branch Library hosted a special “Beginner Chinese Conversation” program to celebrate both #AsianPacificAmericanHeritage and #OlderAmericansMonth.
The Greenbelt librarian who spearheaded the program noted: “Language is the key to understanding a country’s culture—and moreover, learning a new language can help prevent aging and memory loss.” This made it an ideal program to celebrate both initiatives this May.
PGCMLS routinely hosts “Conversation Clubs” where community members can get together to strengthen their language skills, including programs dedicated to learning Spanish, ASL, English, and French. Visit: https://t.co/Eca0MC2Xqm to learn more and find a program near you! 📚✨
