@jules_su I worked with lab rats in college. I absolutely fell in love w/ them. They are smart and sweet, each had their own distinctive personality. I gave them Cheetos for rewards, they would eat them daintily like corn on the cob.
In case you missed it, in 2023 the Russians kidnapped a Ukrainian female journalist and returned her lifeless body without its internal organs. She was 27.
A few hours ago, Hamas militants kidnapped Palestinian critic of Hamas Eyad Jobdyeh from his tent in Gaza City and took him to an unknown place.
Full solidarity with those brave Palestinians in Gaza and shame on all of those who whitewash Hamas’ crimes
@literaryeric I read "Whatever You Do, Don't Run: True Tales of a Botswana Safari Guide" by Peter Allison while at Kruger National Park. Hilarious, fun read.
This is an essential read. And important to acknowledge that the Daily Mail - itself a much criticised news outlet - was one of the very few that continued to cover events unfolding inside Iran behind digital blackouts from January - May this year.
When the dust settles and people acknowledge the truth of what actually transpired inside Iran, there will be many discoveries as to why the world turned away from the Iranian people in their time of need. Even when the US and Israel acted, it was sadly way too late.
Those of us who were calling for “RESPONSIBILITY TO PROTECT”, a @UN norm to halt mass atrocity and crimes against humanity - in force when President Obama intervened in Libya in 2011 - we were then branded ‘war mongers’. With the evidence laid bare now, anyone who did, shame on you.
Many individuals and entities who dismissed the atrocities of the regime will be found out and exposed.
And to those who only showed an interest in Iran after the disaster of the school bombing on Feb 28th, a special mention for you:
Playing politics with millions of lives, ignoring the massacres by the Islamic regime whilst more than ready to lay blame on the US and Israel by focusing only on the Minab tragedy, turning attention away from the people inside Iran being slaughtered by the regime into a propaganda war between “imperialism” and “the resistance” is particularly despicable.
Siding with the Islamic Republic - which is neither Islamic nor a republic - is shameful. It is NOT, and never was ‘the resistance’. It is a radicalised, fanatical cult, hell bent on clinging to power. At any cost. Human or otherwise.

Watching these reactions was a turning point in my life—one I regret ever witnessing—that made it harder to trust in a humanity I’d thought had been more shared, or to value intellectual markers of success stamped onto such blindness.
For the last three years, Gaza, the West Bank, and the Palestinian cause have dominated public debate. Yet Palestinians themselves are too often sidelined.
Too many voices in the West speak on our behalf, then try to silence us when we challenge their narratives.
How many guests invited to discuss Palestine in these debates, panel discussions, and conferences are actually Palestinian? How often do they interview Palestinians instead of people who claim to speak for us?
We have our own voices, our own views, and our own demands. It’s sad to watch non-Palestinians debate our future while Palestinian voices are pushed aside.
If you want to discuss our future, you should be prepared to hear what we have to say.
Apparently Iranians cannot understand why the slaughter of 30,000+ went unnoticed in the West.
But we do.
Iransplained by western “influencers” and so called journalists & news outlets downplaying a human catastrophe for political reasons - we know who you are - will go down as one of the most disgraceful episodes in history.
So for all those who aggressively questioned me and other Iranians speaking out - calling us liars and the massacre “Mossad propaganda” - here is your evidence:
Lorry loads of dead bodies after the brutal murders by the regime in January. This videos is of one place at one time but the scenes of slaughter, hospitals and makeshift morgues were replicated all across the country as seen in the new documentary “This Is Our Story” on YouTube now.
As of now 11,500 bodies are still missing (as mentioned at the end of the ITV doc film “Inside Iran”) with many feared held in cold storage by the regime, or disposed of in unspeakably inhumane ways.
When the people rise up again imminently, the only relevant question for everyone is this: will you support the people trying to rid themselves of this evil regime? Or will you stand with tyrannical murderers?
It is that binary of a question now.
Yesterday, I debated an obnoxious, disrespectful, and ignorant @jacksonhinkle who argued that the Houthi terrorists were some sort of polished, incredible “government” that Yemenis love and respect.
Today, at the UN, I met Gamal al-Ma’mari, a well-known Yemeni tribal leader and sheikh who was kidnapped, tortured, and jailed by the Houthis for 3 years. They tortured him to the point of paralysis because he, and his tribe, opposed their rule.
He was, ironically, put in the same jail cell as Levi Marhabi, the only Yemenite Jew left in Yemen, who has also been tortured to the point of paralysis.
Stop getting your information about my country from clueless, ignorant Western “experts” who visited it for two weeks.
Thank you.
While headlines are dominated by war, Hiyam Taha offers a voice of hope from Gaza. Days after registering our list, @MasarJdid is drawing international attention to a new generation determined to shape its future.
From confrontation to dialogue. Politics that improves lives.
Trump just blocked the transfer of 3,000 critical air-to-surface missiles to Ukraine.
If Trump is not a Russian agent, he is certainly acting like one. His decisions are helping prolong this senseless war and leaving Ukrainian civilians more vulnerable to Russian attacks.
It’s horrible to see all these disgusting comments against the Saudi crew for helping Israeli passengers. What is wrong with people?
Salute to the Saudi crew for putting humanity above politics.
Heartbreaking. Families of protesters killed in Iran's January crackdown are publicly exposing Pezeshkian's lies at the UN.
One father says the regime pressured him to call his own son a "martyr" of the Islamic Republic. He refused. He was thrown in prison for it.
Hi is under massive pressure but his message to Pezeshkian: "Your only achievement at the UN was to label our children terrorists and rioters. If my son was a terrorist, why do you keep begging me to call him a martyr?"
The regime murders Iran's children, then demands their parents lie about it. Shame on every official who repeats these lies.
A father whose son was shot dead in Iran's January crackdown says the regime pressured him to call his child a "martyr." He refused. He was imprisoned.
His son’s name is Sepehr Shokri.
💔
Wow.
Just seen this video of a parent from Gaza who says he is sending his child to a private tutor instead of public school because he doesn't want his children to be indoctrinated by Hamas to want to "buy a gun and shoot Jews".
Such brainwashing must be ended completely.
Israel needs a government willing to do more than this to pogromists. It is not enough to forcibly separate them from their victims.
Lengthy prison sentences for inciters and cultivating informants to disrupt their organizing are reasonable first steps to take to break them up.
Babyn Yar.
85 years since the tragedy.
One of the largest Nazi mass-murder sites in Europe. A place of profound pain and of our remembrance of all victims of the Holocaust. On September 29–30, 1941 alone, nearly 34,000 Jews were murdered here. At Babyn Yar, the Nazis also killed Roma, Ukrainian nationalists, members of the underground resistance, prisoners of war and patients of a psychiatric hospital. In total, an estimated 100,000 innocent people were killed here during the occupation.
This tragedy reminds us how important it is to stand up to evil and to regimes that place no value on human life. It reminds us why we must never turn a blind eye to terror and atrocities, and why we must always support the true defenders of life.
Today, I honored the memory of those killed in the Nazi mass shootings. Eternal memory to all the innocent victims.
She is responding to a comment under a clip from a full blown Assad/Axis of resistance propaganda space last night that invited a cesspool of non-Syrian axis of resistance disinfluencers, all speaking English. This is how Iran engages its information warfare. Through useful idiots. And how Ana Kasparian gets her information and joins their cesspool.
