Brian Meador with @ECUAthletics captured the true emotion of today's announcement from the faces of the Pirate players. It's a great shot by someone who provides magic to the coaches shows each week! I am lucky to get a chance to work with him and I never take it for granted! @ECUPiratesFB@ecusportsnet
@0810AJ@LouSassle716@Worth21_@espnW She had 15 points in the first half. That’s more than two 3’s and a layup. Also had 4 or 5 assists. She had a 20 point game in the third and I think 7 assists. C’mon…
@DarrenStac80182 @Jb13842636B@chicagosky@Reese10Angel I don’t understand catching your own blocked shot counting as a rebound. But it does. That’s how she got her 10th to tie the record I think. I guess I just never considered it a rebound if it didn’t get to the glass.
@echavis@WomensHoops_USA@realapp If she had left Cardosa in there was no way Angel was getting it tonight. The streak ends. She was out playing Angel in the first half by far. Her final numbers are with her pretty much sitting the whole second half. And she didn’t look happy about it.
@TaviDuprix@WomensHoops_USA@realapp She did it today when she told Harrison to stay at the top of the key so she could post up low to get the basket that gave her the 10th point. That was the only way she was getting it.
@cheffatboy215@BeYourOwnSpark@trendyhoopstars I’m saying it should be the expectation for a good post player. She’s elevating the league. And the league needs it. Both of these rookies are doing it. And it’s good, because no one wanted to watch the mediocre post play that has been standard in the past.
@cheffatboy215@BeYourOwnSpark@trendyhoopstars That’s the thing though. A decent post player should be averaging a double double in points and rebounds through the season. It’s wild that it’s not the expectation. I’m glad Reese is there raising that expectation and setting the benchmark for what it should be.
@MuelMJ1 @WNBA I must not have been watching that one. But that should get the same treatment. Enough with the stat padding BS. It’s like baseball parents running Gamechanger at the moment just to get more eyes. The eyes are there, just play.
@Odgomez26@WNBA I didn’t see that one. I was talking about the one where she was fouled (and she was fouled) and then they went to review. But it was knocked out of her hand and she never came down with it. I thought that was the one they credited her with her tenth. Maybe I’m wrong.
@3211JB3211@WNBA Then I misunderstood. I heard the announcer say it was during the foul challenge review. Either way, she played a hell of a game. Congrats to her.
@ODamnDell@WNBA Yeah, it’s stupid. There’s no possession. If it was a tip in for a score I could see it. Either way, congrats to her. It’s official and it’ll go down in the books. She played a hell of a game.
@WNBA Absolutely not. That ball touched her hands and was knocked out of her hands and she never came down with it. That’s NOT a rebound. She’s had a hell of a game and wow, what a performance! But the scorekeeper just gave her a rebound to make sure she got a record.
I know it’s a simple meme… a snap shot to try to make a point.
“Classy/not classy” can be subjective, you can have your own opinion of that… I have no reason to argue.
That said…. I do think it’s important to make sure that facts are thrown out there, and not assumptions.
You implied that Cliff didn’t shake your head coach’s hand…
That was inaccurate.
Cliff shook his hand, then had words with him about an incident.
Here is the raw video that I took…. Feel free to come to your own conclusions
Congrats on the win
@RonElgin2 @GDGC2022@ECUBaseball Yeah. Either way. Don’t want them to celebrate, don’t let them win. Big moment, high emotions, in front of a rough crowd. I get it.
