🚨 BREAKING: BINANCE ENGINEER HAD ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIP WITH NORTH KOREAN SPY BEFORE $6.3B HACK

New, unverified allegations claim that a Binance DevOps engineer was romantically involved with a North Korean operative and left their laptop unattended on the day of the attack.

The hack has previously been linked to a compromised engineer's laptop, while North Korean hackers have been implicated in the wider breach.

The romantic relationship and unattended-laptop claims are being attributed to ZachXBT online, but his original statement has not been independently verified.

How the Binance hack actually worked. I fact-checked the viral breakdowns, here's what's confirmed 👇

1. Not an Ethereum bug
The attacker used EIP-7702 from the Pectra upgrade. It lets a normal wallet run smart contract code, but only with an authorization signed by that wallet's own key. 7702 did what it's built to do. The weak point was Binance's signing side.

2. The 50 nonce trick
Per Blockaid, one transaction carried 50 signed authorizations for consecutive nonces of the "Binance 14" hot wallet. The attacker didn't know its live nonce. The wallet was busy, one matched, the delegation landed.

3. Why that matters
With the private key you don't need 50 guesses. Likely read: they had pre-signed authorizations, not the key. How they got them is still unknown.

4. The sweep
Minutes later Binance 14 ran the attacker's contract and sent ~167K ETH, 1.615B USDT and 60+ other tokens out in one transaction.

5. $5.6B is not a confirmed loss
Arkham's "binance-hacker" cluster shows what those wallets hold, not a verified stolen figure. The BTC and Tron parts aren't independently tied to the attacker yet.

6. A big chunk is frozen
Tether 1.567B USDT, Circle ~$823M USDC, Ripple ~$200M. That's $2.5B+ the attacker can't touch. Aave froze lending markets so they can't borrow against it either.

7. What's still loose
ETH, BTC and ~$730M USDT weren't frozen, and the attacker is already swapping on Uniswap.

Binance says user funds are completely safe and paused withdrawals on several networks as a precaution. No cause or loss figure confirmed yet. If confirmed, it's the biggest crypto hack ever.

Hacks happen everywhere. Know the facts, don't panic ❤️

Decibel Fighter is live 🔥
a tag team fighting game built around @DecibelTrade

Play it free in your browser: https://t.co/0AVOlKYabu

I grew up playing a lot of Tekken Tag and Tekken 3 like games, so I made one that plays like those old tag fights but with the Decibel crew.

You pick 2 fighters from the Decibel crew and tag between them mid fight. Every fighter has their own entry and moves.

The fighters:
• Banger ( official Decibel Mascot )
• Castro, rolls in with a Ferrari ( @doncastro )
• Ghost, carries the BAN hammer ( @Ghosterx4x )
• Nitin (Me :)) )
• EPH, fights with claws ( @laibatdauthoi )
• Brylee, anonymous but powerful ( @borntobry )

Arcade has 6 stages that get harder every fight with a boss at the end. You can also play a friend on the same device, fight the CPU or go online in 1v1, private rooms or 2v2 where each player controls one fighter of the team.

There's no KO here, you get Liquidated 💀 and the arena ticker runs on live Decibel prices.

No wallet and no sign-up. It works on PC, phone and gamepad.

I put a lot of days into this one, learning and fixing things one by one just to make something fun for the Decibel community 🫶

Game by me.
