@Henry13044122 Since we're dealing with facts, not hypotheticals.
Eusebio remains Portugal's greatest World Cup player.
One WC, 9goals(still their record), goldenboot & led them to a bronze medal.
CR7: 5WCs, 8goals, 0 KO goals.
What exactly is his WC achievement for them that tops Eusebio's?
@Henry13044122 I know Belgium's football history. Ironically, this is the same country that played in the first World Cup and has a rich football tradition, yet you once said they weren't a real football nation because they have no trophies. Now they're your reference. Lol.
@Henry13044122 Don't be eager to read to reply, comprehend what u read. I said with today’s UEFA format(runners-up qualify), Eusébio could’ve taken Portugal to back-to-back Worldcups. They finished 2nd in their 1962 qualifiers behind England but missed out under the old winner-takes-all system.
@Henry13044122 Imagine saying a player like Eusebio who took his country to a Bronze medal on their Worldcup debut while also winning the golden ball did not put his country on the football map. This is how a documented failure like Buhari was rebranded and sold as a Messiah to Nigerians.
@Henry13044122 Belgium missed 2006, 2010. Started performing strongly from 2014 but according to your logic, that generation did not put them on the map cus they have no trophy.
Eusebio could have done that for Portugal if the qualifying format were same as Ronaldo's now.
@Henry13044122 You mean a country that was ranked No 1 for almost four straight years shouldn't be consider a top football country during that timestamp? Your logic is riddled with delusion.
Watch this Argentina, it’s not like they’re playing for Messi, it’s just team chemistry. Everyone understands where each person will be and the role to do. Messi is just the cherry on top because his movement is simply to be at the right place at the right time to finish those moves.
The structure is bigger than any one player. The automatisms are there the rotations, the pressing triggers, the spacing, the timing of runs. It all looks natural because they’ve built a system where everybody knows the next action before the ball even arrives.
That’s why even when Messi drops deep or disappears for stretches, the team still functions at a high level. They don’t depend on him to create order, he just adds chaos for the opponent. And when you have a player like that inside an already well-drilled machine, it becomes almost impossible to stop.
That’s the difference between relying on a superstar and maximizing one.
When Messi scored against Algeria, Sergio Aguero and Carlos Tevez were bowing as they ran their commentary duties.
The reverence Messi has enjoyed since 2014 in an Argentina shirt must be one of the greatest ever seen in football. Argentines have his names tattooed on their bodies. His teammates have his image on their skins. It’s god-like reverence.
You can’t buy it. You can’t force it too. It’s just natural. You have to accept what it is.
@Henry13044122 How do you people even rationalize this thought? Portugal had a Worldcup bronze medal and Euros silver medal before Ronaldo but was put on the football map by him? If Belgium wins a major trophy 20yrs later, it would be like sayin their 2014-2022 squad didn't put them on the map.
@Cerebrone@Boboye_Ak Same Enzo Perez that didn't even make the initial tournament squad list and only got called up just few days to the start of the competition cus Lanzini got injured? Please be for real.
@PeterM19830@big___deen@austin_tunoi@jayjayr01 "Same competitions" does not translate to the "same league". Same competitions could extend as far as when they both participated in UCLs, WorldCups but were in different leagues.
Funniest point in my marriage was when David found a black cat by the side of the road in Mykonos & decided that it should stay the night in our room.
I said in JESUS name, tonight, either me or the cat (principalities and powers in high places) will leave this room!
If you are a man in need, write what you need in the comment. Every man should pick a man they can show love to.
Let the love go round. Raise am 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
The whole “Messi vs Ronaldo”’ thing shows how human beings will always be tribal. There’s nobody that doesn’t know that Messi is actually far better, but people have decided to choose a side and stick with it. That’s fair, but they know.
Why isn't Nigeria rich?Bad government? Corruption?
Or is there a more uncomfortable explanation: the way we think about money itself?
In my new article, I explore why some societies turn money into capital, while others struggle .

One night my first daughter came out of bed and my wife and I were sitting on the couch watching tv, laughing, and eating snacks and she yelled: “I KNEW IT!” and turned around and went back to bed
Like I said earlier, this incident is not the regular bandit-based kidnapping. It is clearly an insider job and it is largely political. The timing, the victims and the location say it all.
The raw truth is that politicians are hell-bent on destroying this country and they have used Oyo State as a case study. We will not allow you to spoil our city, because Ibadan and Oyo are very dear to me.
It’s better for Makinde to sit right. These events can’t be accidental. It’s a pattern, and the patterns aren’t looking good.
May the Almighty restore peace and tranquility to our country.
