9782 rape cases(reported) took place from this Jan to March(2026). Almost half of them happened in the home of the victim or the perpetrator, meaning almost half the rapists are BOYS or MEN known and often have some form of relationship with their victims.

This is of course won’t capture the imagination of the country. That women and children get violated daily is not a priority. The country and her people have better and bigger things to preoccupy themselves with.

@RSA_IPID I just tried and failed to report an urgent matter regarding GBV where the man is acting volatile, but the police department in quesrion, which is well aware of the situation, is acting nonchalant about the matter. Does this country actually care about protecting women?

My coworker used to take the long way home every night. Two extra bus stops, more walking, more money, more time. One day I asked her why she didn’t just take the shortcut alley behind our building.
She laughed and said, “Oh, because a guy followed me there once and told me he could ‘do whatever he wanted’ and no one would hear me scream.”
So now, every night, she calls a male friend and pretends she’s on the phone with her “boyfriend.” Sometimes she even laughs loudly and says things like, “Yeah, I’ll see you in five minutes, babe,” even when she’s completely alone.
Not because she wants attention.
Not because she’s dramatic.
Because sounding “taken” and “protected” is safer than sounding like a woman by herself.
Men cannot even begin to understand the calculations women make every day just to get home alive.

When I got through to Vumatel, they told me that it was your responsibility as my ISP to log a call for me. Can you believe it?! What I have been requesting since yesterday never happened @Afrihost. Your agents NEVER LOGGED A CALL! Disappointment doesn't cover how I feel.

@Afrihost This is the second time one of your agents has been like this. I was on a WhatsApp chat and they seem to not know what's going on. Furthermore, there is avouidance of a questuon that I keep asking. I don't understa d why they cannot just answer the question directly.
