The company $CRM just announced its biggest architectural overhaul in 27 years. It’s called “Headless 360” and the idea is simple: AI agents run the entire platform. No browser needed.

What shipped:

• 100+ new tools giving AI coding agents full access to the Salesforce platform

• Works with Claude, GPT-5, Gemini, and any coding agent

• AI agents can now build, deploy, and manage Salesforce apps from any terminal

• Moving from per-seat licensing to consumption-based pricing

The pricing shift tells you everything. When AI agents do the work instead of humans, charging per user doesn’t make sense anymore.

The software sector ETF is down 28% from its peak on fears that AI makes traditional SaaS obsolete. Salesforce’s response: tear down the old model before someone else does.

One customer built a service agent in 12 days. It now handles 50% of cases on its own.
