On Tuesday we welcomed former pupil Dr Philippa McCabe, a Biostats lecturer at @LJMU. She shared some fantastic software skills with some of our Y7&8 students and showed how we can use excel to solve murder mysteries! Many thanks to all at @LJMUPharmBiomolSci and @LJMUOutreach.
@SFX1842 Would you have a working email address I can use to send something please? Hoping to gauge interest in a project you could get involved with for mathsphobia in Yr 9/10 students
"Tutors should receive training for better supporting students with disabilities" says Heather Ward, maths student at #LJMU, at her talk at the Students at the Students at the Hearts Conference with Stewart Chidlow and @PhiliMcC#SATH24#LJMU_DSRC
@lpoolcouncil Not enough is done on high footfall areas away from the immediate city centre. Do we not care about slips and falls and the extra cost this has due to work days lost and extra hospital visits needed?
If you can help - please reply or just tweet the link -

It's 16.1 degrees in my office... I am honestly so cold. I'm debating gloves so I can type again. On the verge of buying a heater for myself...
What can I do? Logged it with estates, and it's been a week and no updates... @LJMUCU, any ideas?
Right now to say I'm not all sunshine and rainbows is the most cheery way of communicating that I want to *escape* most of my daily life
However seeing how I just have to suck it up, if anyone needs me I will be attacking my extensive to-do list with loud music to accompany me
First full week back after a break and I can't say I feel recharged after my leave...
I did not sew, or bake, or read. I had life admin instead.
When do I get annual leave from life too?

Very much looking forward to taking 3 weeks of leave as it is *very* much needed at the mo. Need to organise everything again as I can't keep track of anything!
Gonna read, sew, bake and do all the things that make my soul happy, with the hope I will come back recharged.
Recent interactions with some people have really made me reconsider my desire to work in academia. There are so many wonderful people, but sadly, the few unhelpful and downright rude are taking the love and joy away from wanting to research
I am close to my breaking point
