Really enjoyable visit to Ward A8 today in the LMB building @UHSussex. A specialist acute medical ward set up for those who also have a dementia. Excellent care from a dedicated team led by the Ward Manager who started life as a housekeeper with us. Thank you
Last month, our Medical SDEC team moved into their temporary home at RBH.
The new space is already helping relieve pressure on our ED, with many patients able to return home the same day.
Thank you to all involved💙

Really enjoyable visit to Princess Royal @UHSussex - the Booking team, the Imaging department, tour of Pharmacy, Pathology, the Mortuary and Ardingly Ward. Everyone I met was generous with their time and honest with their feedback. Thank you for all you do.
Such a joy to be @UHSussex to support the launch of a Friend in Need, provided by @HospFriends in collaboration with @AnneRobsonTrust - a service provided by volunteers to ensure no one in RSCH has to end their life alone. Extraordinary commitment from the volunteers - thank you
@UHSussex A huge achievement, done through the sheer commitment from our clinical teams. Thanks also to out admin teams for the booking and scheduling; and our estates teams for keeping our theatres going at maximum output. Every one working our hospital contributes to every patient.
Huge thanks to the Friends of St Richard’s Hospital for their generous gift that will provide a treat for all staff on duty on Christmas Day. The Trustees and Volunteers do so much for the hospital and we are very grateful for all their efforts.
We're excited to announce that we have been awarded almost £3.5m to establish a Commercial Research Delivery Centre.✨
The centre will enhance the speed and efficiency of commercial clinical research, providing more people in Sussex with access to cutting-edge treatments.
Working with us, how is it for you? 🏥
As part of our ‘Big Conversation’ campaign, we want to hear from our health and social care partners and understand your experiences of working with us and how we care for our patients.
Last weekend the first ever @UHSussex Badminton Tournament took place 🏸
We were delighted to fund this event, making it free and accessible to all staff. We're committed to supporting staff wellbeing and were pleased to see the afternoon reducing stress and boosting morale 💙
How people are greeted has a big impact on their experience of our care - hearing about our Welcome Standards programme and the impact it has had @UHSussex
@LeonTaylorGB talking to us about his amazing diving career, reminding us we can choose to believe we can always improve, or look to use external factors as reasons why we can’t. @UHSussex
Very excited to be at @UHSussex staff conference today. Lovely welcome from George Findlay our Chief Executive talking about our Welcome standards, our culture and our strategy.
Join our Big Conversation campaign inviting people to help shape our 5-yr strategy. We want to hear the views of those who know most about what they want from our services – the people and communities who rely on local hospital care.
