Twenty years in infrastructure. Bad changes don't produce stack traces. They produce outages and phone calls.I built the model that would have caught them.

The governance isn't a gate at the start. It's a loop that runs throughout.
Most safety review freezes at planning time. That's exactly when you know the least about how execution will unfold.
Autonomy in the thinking. The gate stays on the doing.

[Phil Wade @PhilipWade13]

BLACK is the tier most frameworks don't have.
The industry is fixated on raising the floor. How much autonomy can you safely grant.
The harder discipline is setting the ceiling.
Some mistakes you cannot recover from. A category that says never, regardless, is not a limitation.

[Phil Wade @PhilipWade13]

I built a four tier trust model for agentic systems.
GREEN — reversible or read-only. Runs unwatched.
AMBER — state-changing but recoverable. Runs with a mandatory backout path.
RED — irreversible. Human present at execution.
BLACK — mine. No agent touches it. Ever.

[Phil Wade @PhilipWade13]

Every agent framework shipping right now has the same flaw.
Capability first. Governance bolted on after. Or not at all.
Autonomous before trustworthy is the wrong order. In production, that order is the whole ballgame.

🚨Anthropic just showed a 24-minute workshop on how to actually do prompts for Claude.

Taught by the people who built it.

Free. No registration. No paywall.

I've seen $300 courses that don't cover what they teach in the first 8 minutes.

Watch it and bookmark it now.

Please stop taking photos of food shelves. You are making things worse. All it’s doing is scaring people into thinking they need to get stuff before it’s gone There is no food shortage, even Italy they can get food from shops. PLEASE STOP SPREADING FEAR #stopspreadingfear
