Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) systems have expanded far beyond their intended purpose—threatening Americans’ constitutional liberties.

Congress must pass the PRIVACY Act to:

- Define intrusive surveillance technologies
- Require warrants
- Limit data retention
- Prohibit federal funds from purchasing these systems
