I am about to delete this Twitter account due to my retirement from the fire service, I would like to thank everyone who has either shared, viewed or commented positively to anything I have put up on the site regarding the fantastic & dedicated staff of HWFRS. Thank you π
@HWFireLeominstr Thanks everyone, I was lucky enough to manage you all in North Herefordshire for over 15 years and it was my absolute pleasure to do so, I remain in awe of what you offer the public and HWFRS day in day out. Take care out there! Regards as always. Phil
My last working day at the mighty station 25 Bromsgrove started with a Covid safe presentation with the watches and on call unit, ex colleagues and my boss, GC Phill Sanders. They got my family there too making it all the more special. Thanks everyone for a fantastic last day.
@HWFireControl Thank you all for the help and support you have given me over the last 21 years as a station officer/manager/ commander, I will never forget those days and nights on duty with you all at copenhagen street! One last duty weekend in May then I am done!
@JohnBuley @HWFire@HWFireDroitwich I was on the same recruit course as Phil, Droitwich course 1/91.

Bromsgrove white watch spending some time with their newest member of the watch today. Matt is fresh out of training and We wish him well on his fire service career that starts today.
As my 30 year fire service career comes to an end, my daughter starts her journey as a brand new firefighter starting hers. In amongst the highs and lows that this role in society brings, this is the most precious high of all. Welcome to the thin red line firefighter 3182.
@pglover29 She will be responsible to a watch management team, they report to me, so directly she will refer to me as station commander but I can assure you, once no one is about, ignore me like she normally does at home!
@CampaignTim Thank you sir for your kind words. It has been an honour and privilege to support, with the help of my colleagues, the communities of Hereford and Worcester for 30 years and I know it was the reason for my daughter wanting to enter the same field.
@HincePete Pete,
How nice to hear from you mate, normally see you once a year at the fire service stand at the Kington show! Not this year buddy, someone else will be supporting the stations in North Herefordshire. I hope you are well. Regards
Phil
@therodgrindlay Rod, yes mate doesnβt it just! Not sure we will get there this year but will try. Retired fire officer, now that has a nice ring to it! Kos in 2022 maybe?
@ChiefBradC Brad, greetings from this side of the pond. I must admit when my daughter told me that she was leaving her role as a teacher I was a bit sceptical, but when she told me what she was going to do instead, well mate as you say, my face says it all. Stay safe buddy
@SFRS_DanQuinn @HWFire Hey Dan! Long time no see buddy! I am really good thanks and looking forward to a new challenge! I will pass on your kind words to my daughter, look out for her mate, she might cross your path in the future! Regards as always mate. Phil
@4_Walls Thank you Vanessa, how kind. She left being a primary school teacher behind to join, I hope that in a few years that she doesn't regret it for a second!
@Markyates1964@HWFireControl Boss! I was hoping to see you before I left, I hope you and your family are well? I am looking forward to the new challenge, how did the house build go?
@FireScot_Chief Martin, how nice to hear from you, it has been quite some time since you left HWFRS, congratulations on your rise to the top of our profession. Kind regards, phil
