Next stop, Cambridge South 🚆
We're excited to hear that the new Cambridge South train station will open on Sunday 28 June, as announced today by @transportgovuk@SciTechgovuk .
Cambridge South will link Europe’s largest life sciences cluster to key hubs like London, Stansted and Manchester - and in time Oxford - making it easier to bring together the people and ideas that drive discovery and improve patients’ lives worldwide.
It will also open up access to opportunity. Better rail links mean more people can reach @CamBioCampus and @CUHPartners for study, research, jobs and training, while easing pressure on the city and attracting talent from further afield.
The impact goes far beyond Cambridge, strengthening collaboration, expanding opportunity, and powering growth across the UK.
