I am not against politics, but to believe that fundamental change comes from politics is a mistake. If we don't open ourselves to a change in our relation to the world, to others and to the earth, a change that is never fully in our control, nothing will fundamentally change.
If we merely replace the capitalist system with another, the source of corruptibility remains in tact: the habit to order, manipulate, calculate, and exploit all resources, human or natural stems not from grotesque evil, but from an ordinary everyday, rational horizon of being.
Time is not an object, instead it makes objects of experience possible, for we neither have access to time in itself, nor to things in themselves because if we had, objects would still be the things we have access to, i.e. phenomena, and time still what makes them possible.

Subjectivism and objectivism are two sides of the same coin. Once certain domains of knowledge are demarcated as "objective", this automatically derides all the other forms of knowing, familiarity or engagement with things as being merely "subjective".
"Denn dass der Mensch erlöst werde von der Rache: das ist mir die Brücke zur höchsten Hoffnung und ein Regenbogen nach langen Unwettern."
"For that man be delivered from vengeance: that is for me the bridge to the highest hope and a rainbow after long storms."
Nietzsche
When your "leftism" is merely a desire to maximize your own self-interested socio-economic goals through political means, you are actually a temporarily embarrassed right-wing millionaire, a maximizer of profit or monetary gain underneath a thin veneer of "class consciousness".
@DeadGeographies In other words, some have tried to mend the wound, and have done a lot of good good work in that regard, but the wound is - mostly - still bleeding like a MF'er.
Kant's inverted realism, Hegel's absolute idealism, Marx's inverse Hegelianism and Nietzsche's inverted Platonism all remain within the same subject/object split and understanding of being as presence. Subject and object are 'competing' in a never-ending game of checkers.
Marx's historical materialism (as inverted Hegelianism) remains within the objectivist side of the subject/object split and Nietzsche's inverted Platonism remains within the subjectivist side of the subject/object split.
@DeadGeographies There are those who did, i.e. Heidegger, Merleau-Ponty and Derrida, although Sartre's existentialism, as a form of humanism, is characterized by a certain half-wayness. And scientism, physicalism, cognitivism and pragmatism still remain squarely within the history of metaphysics.
By the time God was pronounced dead (by Nietzsche), human beings conquered the void that was left open and pronounced themselves the new Gods. Are we then, in the face of such hubris, even in a position to ask (let alone answer) what the nature is of the void that was left open?
When Marx said: it's not about interpreting the world, it's about changing it, he failed to say that it is impossible to change the world without presupposing an understanding of the world. In order to try to change the world you must start with your understanding of the world.
Overcoming the metaphysical subject/object split is not an irrelevant bookish concern.
Most of contemporary philosophy, world views and religions, built on top of scientism, physicalism, cognitivism, pragmatism, mono- or poly-theism, still remains within the subject/object split.
