Ten years ago, I walked into Tesla as an intern — January 2015, back when all we built was the Model S.
I never imagined I'd one day lead the Fremont factory where we are building some of the most amazing cars the world has ever seen.
Today we sunset the S/X program, and it's bittersweet. The first ever car I bought was a Model S. It showed me a whole new world, and a reason to believe in futuristic technology.
The end of one thing makes room for new beginning of the other. We're letting go of something we loved a lot so we can build something even greater. Big things are already on their way to Fremont factory— a future of amazing abundance.
Thank you, @elonmusk, for the vision. To everyone who built this with me: thank you. Onto the next chapter. 🚀
Creating physical massing models is accessible, collaborative, and iterative. Let's return to first practices of real-world massing studies combined with the power of Veras for rapid and realistic rendering!

Atriums they dominated 1960s-1980s architecture.
American architect John Portman (1924-2017) popularized the monumental atriums which are now common throughout the world’s shopping malls, conference centers, and hotels.
Portman's atriums popularized new standards: open air, multi-level courtyards with commanding views
Glass domes at the top of the building beam down soft diffuse light.
Interior balconies and open elevators allow for people watching at the grandest scale.
A city within a city…
Once in a great while, I miss being in Architecture school. Today is one of those days. AI doesn't sidestep rigor, judgement, and accountability. AI actually increases it. If I pulled this into @AutodeskRevit there would be more ongoing changes and deformation based on function, opportunity, and empathy. #Analog to #AI using @ChaosGroup Veras.
Veras 4.5 is out and there's wonderful amazing stuff you're not going to find anywhere else!

The day the IBM PC was released, I was at this Somerville, New Jersey Computerland. There was no way a poor kid like me could own one. But I knew if I could hang out enough I could learn it.
After a few weeks Tom the manager said “Roemmele you want get paid for this?”. I said yes and went about setting up and training 100s of executives at Central New Jersey corporations for almost a decade. I worked my own hours and this lifted me out of poverty.
I got my first Apple II and Macintosh here as well as my first LaserWriter and Apple Camera.
I would go to the local florist and pick up red roses for the IBM PC display. They spent a lot, but IBM demanded real roses and “fined” any sales company that did not have one with the display.
One day in my first year the owner came in and said “who is this kid?” Tom said, “Oh that is Brian, he sold more computers and software than all our outside sale combined and he is not in sales”. The owner came over and said shook my hand and said, “let me take you out for dinner, you and your girlfriend”. He was kind and generous to me and offered me key consulting gigs around the state.
So seeing this commercial pop up in my VHS AI training knocked me over. Tom did not have to bet on me and even guess a stuttering geek could do this work, but he did.
Nothing but gratitude for this start…
WOW! I am floored!
My interview reviewing the 5000 Days series I now over 2,000,000 listens!
After the US growth, it is growing rapidly in Japan, Vietnam, China, Germany and the UK!
I will have part two soon.
Thank you all for this support!
Deep gratitude.
For a driver born without arms, FSD Supervised is life-changing accessibility
“I was born without arms and have driven with my feet my entire life. I’m a fully licensed driver, and traditionally I drove with my left foot on the steering wheel and my right foot handling the gas and brake. My only legal restrictions are automatic transmission and power steering.
Over the years, though, the strain from my congenital birth defects has led to significant arthritis in my hips. I drove a Model 3 for the past seven years, and it honestly helped extend my independence in a huge way.
Recently upgrading to the Model Y – along with Full Self-Driving – has been a complete game changer for me.
It dramatically reduces the physical pressure and fatigue of driving and has helped preserve a level of freedom and mobility that means a great deal to me.
Most people understandably think of Tesla in terms of innovation or sustainability, but for some of us, this technology truly becomes life-changing accessibility.”
