@IainKewley @jamielewislewis @ManxDunners @NicholsonK Mid Feb BoJo announced outdoor dining/drinking would be permitted in UK from April 12th. 60 days to work on operating safely, to understand the “rules” + customers to make reservations.
It’s not unreasonable for IOM biz to want more clarity in timely manner

@ManxDunners @NicholsonK No it hasn’t been the stated plan. We’ve been told some or all restrictions will be removed from some or all industries. More clarity is required. If mitigations are to be in place on Monday then businesses should be told so they can prepare.

Not even a “thank you” from HQ to the bars and restaurants which supported government guidance by closing last night - sacrificing revenue on their busiest night of the month (pay day Saturday). Perhaps we will remain open next time.

@manx_ram Yes we closed because we thought it was the right thing to do - for the wider community. And I believe it was the correct decision given the information we had. It seems the community also believes it was the correct decision for us to close our businesses for a night.
