@Hosang I am of the opinion that the points we’ve gained since Carrick arrived would be at least the very same if Amorim didn’t press the self destruct button. We have not played any better.
@hosang I’d like to draw some attention to the fact that Bruno tried his absolute utmost to let Everton back in the game last night by trying too many ridiculous passes yet again and at one point decided to stop tracking back on a dangerous Everton attack to moan at the ref.
@hosang Margins were very tight as to how we as fans view this season. Turn just 4 of those games where we absolutely should have won based on chance creation we would all be getting very excited about being in the title race. Amorim was getting there slowly but surely.
@DiabolicalDuck8@hosang We haven’t had any evidence so far that we can do that since his departure. Fletcher drew with Burnley and lost at home to Brighton so no improvement there. I’ll wait until I see how we get on v Fulham before lavishing praise upon Carrick.
Steve Holland being Carrick’s assistant very much smells of Southgate taking over in the summer 🫣 This would absolutely tie in with the boards track record so far of making horrendous decisions.
@hosang Hang on. Doesn’t this insinuate that decisions related to the selling and signing of players lies with the manager? So Wilcox’s role is purely to hire managers, tell them how to play and fire them when they don’t do as he says?
@hosang Other fans don’t demand a manager that plays within the clubs “DNA”. Klopp didn’t exactly play the kind of football Liverpool played in the 80’s. Sky doing a stupid comparison that said Conte best fits the clubs “DNA” against Fergie’s last season. Fergie always adapted over time
@hosang I’d argue there’s only 2. Tuchel and Ancelotti. Pochettino is good but he is not on the level of them. Both would be complicated to announce now though. The English and Brazilian media would hound them and say they aren’t committed to the jobs they are in.
