I really like Dro and I rate his talent highly, but if he ends up leaving, I don’t think it makes sense to blame the board for it. From what we’ve seen, Barça did make an effort to renew him, and there was already a contract offer on the table.

If his exit happens through a release clause, then the club doesn’t really have control over the situation. At that point, the decision is entirely up to the player. The board can’t block it, and they can’t force someone to stay if they choose to leave.
