Really disturbed to see this in @Tesco yesterday. These sugary / ultra processed products are not good choices for growing children’s school snacks or lunch boxes. Get with the times please Tesco! @OHA_updates@Food_Foundation
Today, Allergy London’s Professor @DrAdamFox was honoured to have joined Helen Blythe, founder of the @BenedictBlytheF at 10 Downing St to present an open letter co-signed by 40 organisations nationwide, all advocating for enhanced safety measures in schools for individuals with allergies…
📑The latest research reveals that a staggering 70% of schools lack the recommended allergy precautions, placing children and staff at risk. This negligence results in an estimated half a million school days lost annually, with teachers and school staff ill-equipped to handle allergic reactions, leaving 2 in 5 teachers feeling unprepared.
The repercussions extend beyond the classroom, impacting children and families through reported allergic reactions and fatalities, instances of allergy-related bullying, and the anxiety forcing some children to withdraw from the school system entirely.
