Films are more likely to star a man called Chris or a talking animal than a woman over 60, a study has found.
The survey by Age Without Limits revealed that out of the top 100 films at the UK box office in 2023, 2024 and 2025, only five films starred a woman over 60.
Six starred an actor named Chris and around 20 had talking animals.
