@AJC2424 That's where I stand. I will focus solely on my backlog if it goes streaming only. I have so many games in my backlog over ps and xbox that I will be set for many, many years.
@ivvanex Did you not notice that xbox has been quietly moving to all digital the whole time? In stores you see way more options for Playstation and Nintendo than you do Xbox games. With this system, the disc can still be sold and everything. The digital license transfers.
@joao_vitor01983@finalfantasyvii I wonder why. It was made on Unreal Engine 4 just like Remake and Rebirth. This game has so many people excited. If you're not excited, then don't play it. You're just a broken record, constantly repeating the same stupid stuff. I'm getting it on PS5 and Xbox just like the others
@RinoTheBouncer@PlayStation You know, unlike how Playstation announced their plans to end physical disc production, xbox has been quietly moving towards all digital. Yet you all ONLY go off on Playstation. I game on all consoles, so I'm not siding with any console. At least they said something unlike xbox.
@PixelVigilante@PlayStation Y'all are so angry at Sony for announcing that they are ending physical disc production, but Xbox has been quietly going all digital. At least Sony announced their plans instead of doing it quietly like Xbox. I'm not happy about it either, but they aren't going to backtrack.
@joao_vitor01983@finalfantasyvii They used Unreal Engine 4 on all 3 games, so of course it's the same graphics and art direction. Why would they change what engine they use during a multi game remake? They wouldn't. They would use the same one for all the games.
@FiveThief@Cato_2016T@ozconsoul Except when you buy it physical, you only get one version. When you buy digital, you get ps4 and ps5 versions. If you buy on sale, you end up getting it cheaper because you get 2 games at that sale price for those that like to trophy hunt. For some it's a better deal.
@GamesCage_ I doubt Xbox will. Has no one noticed that Xbox has been quietly moving towards all digital where Sony actually said something about their plan for it. Go to any store and you barely see any games for Xbox, but you see a lot for Playstation and Nintendo.
@RossLafont@DankelInYoFace@BrizGz@Genki_JPN Actually, you can't properly compare them considering a brand new physical video game costs 4-5x that of a brand new music cd and 3x that of a vinyl. So, if you take that into account, the music industry therefore would make more money if cds and vinyls cost the same as a game.
@dxrkspartan@WafflesBaked@Okami13_ They haven't gotten rid of physical disc's yet. Not until January 2028. I wish they'd keep them, but that's the route they're taking. They shut down studios all the time.
@LilithLovett I didn't notice. I was playing my digital version of Echoes of Aincrad. I didn't know psn was down until I read it on here. And just so you know, I'm against them getting rid of physical because I also buy physical.
@DylWingo I'm not bootlicking and I'm against them getting rid of physical media, but i do own digital games. I was playing my digital copy of Echoes of Aincrad all day yesterday. I didn't even know psn was down until I saw it on here.
@NovaBran I was able to play my digital games perfectly fine all day yesterday and I don't have offline play enabled. None of my digital games were affected.
@ShadowlessTwil1@PlayStation I don't have offline play enabled, yet my digital games worked perfectly fine today from 3am this morning until I turned them off at 6pm tonight. I had the day off and got to enjoy it even with the servers down.
@QubicInsanity@PlayStation I don't have offline play enabled, yet my digital games worked perfectly fine all day today. I'm always connected to the internet, too.
@xMBGx Didn't even notice. Don't have offline play enabled and I've been playing my digital games since 3am this morning and it's almost 6pm right now and I'm always connected to the internet. The only thing I get out of being physically disabled. Able to game all day long.
