INDIA WATCH CLOSELY. THIS IS “SCHOOL THEEK KARO” - FRANCE VERSION
France is in throes of a full-blown street crisis. Nearly 2,000 arrests in a single day, 170 students and 65 school staff injured, and hundreds of schools disrupted or closed. Years of indulging Gen-Z in the mistaken woke belief that "bacchche hain galti karenge" and so imposing costs is “regressive” has led to this.
The grievance may be legitimate but allowing teenage discontent to run riot in the streets is a recipe for anarchy.
France’s Education Minister has accused LFI and ultra-left groups of exploiting the movement and says it has been “taken hostage” by violent fringe groups. LFI rejects that charge.
BUT DON'T THINK THIS IS A FRENCH PROBLEM.
India got a glimpse of the same playbook in Jantar Mantar.
THE LENGTHS SOME WESTERN MEDIA GO TO BURYING THE THREAT OF ISLAMIST TERROR.
A stabbing in the cockpit with a view to hijacking and possibly crashing a jet with 180+ passengers and at least 160 Israelis is described as an "altercation".
No words of praise are enough for Captain Smit Machchhar. At a time when we are busy fighting over caste, religion, politics, when our society is increasingly divided & the gaps among us widening, when hostility is growing across borders & the hunger for power & money seems to be consuming everything, there is a shining star who stood above it all. Without caring for his own life, Captain Smit Machchhar risked everything to save more than a hundred lives, most of them Israelis. Heroes like him remind us that humanity still has the power to rise above everything that divides us specially Izlamic terrorism
After some young people cleaned Juhu beach post Visarjan, they were shocked to see some dimagi naxals spread trash on the beach just to take pictures. Cockroaches will destroy everything.

With sustained economic growth, we may, someday, match the best countries in infrastructure: roads, airports, metros and public facilities.
Bigger challenge is civic behaviour: respect for fellow citizens, shared spaces and rules meant for everyone. That may be the much harder journey.
@Anurag_Dwary Nuisance. These Djs have to be banned. If there is fair in the area the amount of speakers in one corner is that vehicles tremble and ppl are working and passing by, it is so dangerous and there are multiple such corners. Such things have to banned
What kind of logic is this !!
The women are blaming a molested girl. Instead of holding them accountable, we are told that patriarchy made them think this way. By that logic, every misogynistic man could say the same thing: society taught me that women must dress, behave and live in a certain way.
Social conditioning may explain a mindset. It does not excuse it. Adults still have moral agency.
A survivor should not have to carry the burden of someone else’s social and mental conditioning.
With due regard, police can enforce the law when those breaking it are a small minority. But when breaking rules becomes normal social behaviour, no police force can fix it.
Wrong-side driving. Jumping red lights. Parking vehicles dangerously. Spitting in public. Blasting loud music, harassing women. We see these things every day.
In a country of nearly 1.5 billion people, how many policemen would you need to stand at every traffic light, highway, street corner and neighbourhood?
Yes, police must enforce the law. But a society cannot outsource basic civic sense to the police.
Across the country, thousands of truck drivers park their vehicles on highways in a shockingly careless manner. Every night hundreds of vehicles hit such dangerously parked vehicles.
In 2023 alone, 5,636 people died in India in crashes involving parked vehicles.
Next time you see a truck dangerously parked or stranded on a highway, please don’t simply drive past. Call 1033 or 112 and ask them to get it removed. That one call may save lives.
Please RT.
Nobody is trained for any emergency in India. We need PMETP (Public Medical Emergency Training Program).
Where youth and anyone interested can register for 1 day CPR with AED and First Aid training.
It shall be offered at a subsidized price in some local center in every area.
India needs millions of first aid and emergency trained citizens. @PMOIndia@HMOIndia@MoHFW_INDIA@JPNadda@narendramodi
We have seen consenting adults being beaten up just for sitting together in parks.
Social media is full of perverts who shoot and share videos of couples simply hugging each other.
The question should not be: why don’t couples choose a safer place?
The question is: why can’t we create a safe society for two consenting adults?
Don't make the mistake of calling the thugs in Bihar's Jamui 'moral police'. They're rapists & child molesters. JDU, part of Bihar ruling alliance, calls it "small incident". Only 3 arrested. All deserve life in prison--or worse. Top story on @NDTV: https://t.co/8Xwkvb8aDb
It may sound harsh, but in a way, Jamui reflects a large part of our society. Put a helpless, defenceless couple in a similar situation, and far too many perverts living among us would behave the same way.
Nirbhaya and the many similar crimes since then are not merely isolated incidents. They tell us something about the society that we have created.
And we all know this is not about this government or that government. It is about our society. It is about us.
Nirbhaya was not the first. Jamui will not be the last. That’s the unfortunate reality.
