@WeAwokenTheHive Some of my favourite memories are of picking my pre orders for WWE 13 and WWE 2K14 back in the day.
As for GTA V, I still remember hearing about someone getting stabbed during the midnight release. The GAME we had bought in security to escort customers when they left the shop.
@NikTek A remaster of Watch Dogs 1 that tries to recreate the graphics from the E3 demo, with restored multiplayer and leaderboards would be awesome.
But it’s Ubisoft so of course not. They could do a director’s cut of Watch Dogs 2, but again, of course not.
@_Tom_Henderson_ Them potentially giving the game that put the whole franchise on the shelf a director’s cut is a choice.
Since it’s Ubisoft, there’s a good chance this could be a test to see if there’s still any interest in the franchise, which is definitely a choice.
@tomwarren I’m just waiting to see how great this feature is when the next major Xbox outage happens.
Everything is preserved on Microsoft’s Xbox servers; when those go, everything goes.
@videotech The price is mostly made up by the expensive sunglasses included. It doesn’t come with the game, and there’s no exclusive in game content like with GTA V.
We shouldn’t have to pay such a premium for a physical map, and it shows how far we’ve gone.
@tomwarren The prices for the game pass tiers will stay the same though won’t they.
One temporary exclusive and cloud gaming with a paywall.
Nice one. 👍
@GypsytheScumbag@YouTube I wouldn’t be surprised if GTA Online 2.0 was locked behind GTA Plus and the price of GTA Plus increases because of it.
People will eat it up, even if people will have to pay extra for the ultimate edition for the content locked behind it.
@GameStalgiaX Fallout 3
My first fallout game was Fallout 4 and Fallout 3 came for free with it; played it, didn’t like the controls.
Came back to it a couple of years later and it’s one of my favourites alongside Fallout New Vegas.
@GameRiot Now the Series X is £100 more expensive than a PS5.
£100 for one exclusive which is obviously an experiment to test the market they destroyed.
£100 for barely any benefit, with one benefit taking its first steps on PC with the backwards compatible library.
We’re done here.
@tetrisdork@TheCanadianGTR Yes that is true, but I honestly think Criterion Games would’ve at least had a chance at avoiding their fate, if the only person of authority within EA who believed in them was still with us.
@charlieINTEL First Ninja Theory and now Undead Labs, 2 studios that just showed off their next releases.
Xbox’s new CEO is not the saviour that people think she is.
@Hitman When the OG theme kicked in at the end of the trailer…
I have wanted this for Hitman 2 and Contracts ever since Blood Money got some attention years ago. Codename 47 getting a remaster alongside them is a big surprise. Never thought it would get touched.
