Chase Elliott notched his first-ever #NASCAR National Series win and first #NASCAR Camping World Truck Series win on September 1, 2013, at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in a controversial way when he made contact with Ty Dillon in the last corner, causing Dillon to spin out.
It was also the 800th #NASCAR Cup Series victory for Chevrolet and the 268th for Hendrick Motorsports, tying them with Petty Enterprises for the most all-time wins.
The win was the 12th of Elliott's career.
