@HimanshiDamak Do you like gothic with the murderous twists? Try any of Carlos Ruiz Zafon books. My favourite is The shadow of the wind tetralogy. The secret history by Donna Tartt is also amazing.
that awesome moment when you finish reading a really good book and you see it at a store, and then you cunningly smile at it as if you had an affair with it.
Just finished #wonderfools & this year the K drama world is on fire. So so good. #parkeunbin is amazing as always. #chaeunwoo was a surprise. He has improved so much as an actor. Always been #baenara s fan. The cast and the plot absolute 😘
@WilliamDawsoniv@goodreads Haven't read Goldfinch so can't compare, but can vouch that The secret history is a complete chaos (a good one). You ll love it then you ll hate it and ll start questioning your moral values. I am going to search for The little friend as my next Tartt.
Things got resolved but it triggered that locked grief inside me. I started to become anxious. I had noone to turn to because noone knew. And I thought it would be dramatic even for me to express myself. I prefered avoiding difficult conversations.
You see when I was a kid I travelled 30 mins + from bus to school. My close friends from that time lived closer to school. They never realised I was navigating my life through loss of my mom. Literally 3 decades ago. They used to make fun of my lunch, my looks and my gifts.
I listened to her deeply and cried and I decided I ll never tell her because my pain should not be anyone's burden. She used to be actually very very sweet. Full of herself and her life but I liked it when I didn't have to think about mine.
I tried telling her about my mom n the situation and why I feel so guilty n all but apparently she had one painful incident herself n without listening to me completely started talking about her pain. I felt so bad for bringing it up. To make her relive her pain.
