A group of lively, like-minded textile artists working in diverse methods and media, meeting monthly in Kingston Upon Thames and exhibiting biennially.
We have an interesting new blog post available to read on our website. Compiled by @blueberrybutton, it is about the satisfying and rewarding experiences that some of us have had through responding to open calls for art.

Two lucky charity shop finds! Kate Davis found a book that resonates perfectly with her current body of work, and @blueberrybutton found another that is perfect to inspire her to make more mini balance scales for our exhibition title (Un)Balanced.

Sketchbooks and trial samples by Phoenix artist @RoberttaMcPher1. She is exploring the possibilities of dry stone walls, cairns and other ways in which rocks and stones can be piled, whether in stable or unstable equilibrium.
My latest miniature artwork made from Plaster of Paris is currently showing at the #houseofsmalls new gallery at Chipping Camden . But in a dolls house !

Well done to @RosalineDarby1 and @blueberrybutton who have both had work selected for the inaugural exhibition in the House of Smalls Gallery, 1 - 15 March in Chipping Campden. Rosaline's piece will be in the main gallery and Maria's in the miniature doll's house exhibition.
Phoenix artists @RosalineDarby1 and @blueberrybutton both contributed sweary dusters to this collaboration between The Domestic Dusters Project and the Profanity Embroidery Group, Whitstable.
Phoenix artists Lynne Butt and Linda Walsh both have collage on their minds and have been having fun with gelli plates.
Lynne's signature bright colours and Linda's favourite ogee shape characterise each artist's work.

We have a new blog post up on our website today, about the fabulous women's art collection at Murray Edwards College, Cambridge, and the fascinating temporary exhibition there last year about women, textiles and politics.

Phoenix artist Linda Walsh has been doing what she calls "looking backwards to move forwards": diving into past sketchbooks in search of new directions for her work. We are excited to see what she will come up with!

Linda Walsh is our artist of the week. Linda loves to travel widely and her experiences and impressions, recorded in photographs and increasingly in sketchbooks, provide the inspiration for her textile art.

Last but by no means least, our final artist feature turns the spotlight onto LINDA WALSH @lindawalshstitchart
Linda enjoys creating rich, textured and subtly coloured surfaces using dyed fabric, paper and chiffons.
Our featured artist for this week, Maria Walker, does not always work on a monumental scale. These little gems, made using found shells and pottery shards referencing ancient votive offerings, are a commentary on truth, lies and obfuscation in modern British politics.
Our penultimate featured artist is MARIA WALKER @mariawalkerart
Maria's work explores the human body and the experience of being human, using textiles and other media, which she selects for their innate tactility and flexibility.
