Read the headlines long enough and it can feel like darkness is winning. It isn't. The final page is already written. "In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us" (Romans 8:37). The middle chapters may be hard, but the ending is sure — God wins, and so do those who are His. Hold onto that today.
We were told MANY times that the sound of our #LetUsWorship gathering in downtown Philly was bleeding into the @fifaworldcup livestream next door and was heard by MILLIONS today! 😂🚀🔥
The city tried to cancel us. Then the Governor of Pennsylvania cut our soundcheck short because of a TV interview.
But the people of God would NOT BACK DOWN.
Who knows how many people encountered the presence of God today because a group of believers refused to quit?
Do not grow weary. Keep the fire burning. God honors persistence and will do far more than you could ever ask or imagine.
Onward to Washington, D.C., tomorrow, where we will worship before the President of the United States speaks.
GOD IS GOOD!!! 🇺🇸🙌🔥
Today I’ll celebrate the country where you can complain how terrible it is…while eating a second cheeseburger, posting a picture of it on a phone invented by capitalism, with words protected by the Constitution, under a flag somebody died for, so you can sweat in a lawn chair by a lake, and miss the air conditioned 4 bedroom house the bank lets you keep, while you sip a cold drink full of ice cubes.
Tonight I’m going to commemorate the defeat of King George with more explosive firepower than a modern-day third world military.
To everyone who says America isn’t worth celebrating, that’s your right……because America! Two hundred and fifty years old and you’re still making people argue on the internet before breakfast. What a country!
As for me…let’s party! Happy 250th America.
Galatians 5:13 NIV
[13] You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.

Our country is facing a moral and spiritual crisis, and it can be easy to look around and feel like things are only getting darker. But Jesus has called His followers to be both salt and light.
In this past Sunday's message from Matthew 5, I shared why Christians are not called to isolate from the world, but to infiltrate it with truth, love, and the gospel. As salt, we preserve what is good and make others thirsty for God. As light, we point people to Jesus in a dark world.

Hebrews 12:14 NIV
[14] Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.

Ephesians 2:10 NIV
[10] For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

They're not freezing your rent, they're freezing your housing providers' income, while their expenses keep increasing.
The point isn't to make your housing affordable, it's to make providing housing financially inviable, so government(s) can seize the unmanageable properties.
Our lack of financial literacy is going to destroy us.

Maybe you have a giant in your life that’s taunting you right now. Maybe it’s some kind of threat. Maybe it’s a habit or an addiction that has you in its grip. Maybe it’s a situation that needs to be dealt with once and for all. Or, in keeping with the theme of preparing for the Harvest Crusade next month, maybe your loved one does not have a personal relationship with Jesus. This giant, so to speak, seeks to control you. It seeks to hurt you. It seeks to torment you.
What should you do? Like David, you should see God for who He is and your giant for what it is. Align your perspective with spiritual reality. Nothing in your life is too big for God. Nothing is too complex for Him to solve. Nothing is beyond His experience or expertise. Call on the Lord and pray for His power. Pay attention to His prompts. Be willing to step out of your comfort zone in faith, to do the hard—but doable—things necessary. Attack your giant and see what God does in and through you.
