To all Thai audiences, please think about this carefully. Personally, all I want is for both of our countries to maintain a good, harmonious relationship. I believe the root cause of this issue started with GMMTV. Instead of third parties enjoying the conflict between Thais and Myanmars, if Thai fans acknowledged that GMMTV made a mistake here, Myanmar fans would truly appreciate it.
Take The Last Duel as an example: because the production and costume design were treated with deep respect and officially announced before broadcast, Myanmar fans praised the Thai production team and wholeheartedly supported the cast members.
In this current situation, however, GMMTV failed to be clear when they needed to be—neither stating firmly whether they used these cultural elements nor making a proper declaration before releasing the trailer. Because GMMTV did not clarify the situation immediately, the back-and-forth arguments between both fans escalated, and things were said that went too far.
From the very beginning, all Myanmar fans wanted was just one thing: a clear explanation of whether cultural elements were used or not. Because of this lack of transparency, citizens who love their respective nations naturally stepped up to defend their cultures, leading to conflict. In my view, instead of blaming each other as this situation escalates, we should acknowledge that GMMTV made a mistake.
Furthermore, Myanmar people never act out of instigation. It is absolutely NOT because Cambodia incited us, as many claim. Cambodian pages posting Myanmar flags alongside theirs was NOT done at our request. All we wanted was an accurate explanation.
While GMMTV usually releases statements on their blue template immediately for other matters, they stayed silent this time and only responded after the conflict between the two nations grew out of hand. Myanmar people are not acting under anyone's influence, and we never intended to start a fight.
