Wanted to write out some thoughts on the larger environment around us

When I started off in this industry there were a few things that made it “important” to both me and the people of my crypto graduating class (2017)

Sovereignty and privacy. I liked the idea that I could be in control not only of my private property but also at the time the anonymity it offered was important to me.

Over the years we have drifted pretty far away from these principles - to the point where the day to day “trenches” are completely unrecognizable to people from my class.

The issue with the current layout is that the skill gap is extremely high - making it effectively impossible for new people to join what they view as the cool kids club without incurring (and potentially always incurring) heavy losses

The trenches isn’t what web3 is about though. Not to me at least. It is a component, like its own smaller universe which is getting a large amount of the on chain activity because it is the most recognizable as a daily check in.

Even BTC has become a number go up product largely due to the introduction of Michael Saylor and the ETFs - and now with the two simultaneous challenges it faces , quantum resistance and privacy it is struggling to tackle both at the same time (will it?) with the motivator to solve this problem being the painful number go down driving force

So it makes perfect sense to me that $ZEC is running and I presume will continue to much more

The Solana problem is a different one - being that why would someone new start playing this game that only favors the old guard

The trenches are much much smaller than you all think. A few thousand daily people at best in current conditions

New people just don’t want to play because the learning curve is too steep. This is actually the same problem games like League of Legends are currently facing

So how do we fix it?

Well.. that’s complicated

For starters the space needs to grow. And there have to be some asset classes beyond the majors that are viewed as safe haven

From there - a subset of the coins used to onboard all these people that have now left probably need to pump (think the giga runners of the 2024 craze)

Because if they don’t then the lasting impression is that Solana community fucked everyone and then laughed it off

So a loss is going to be taken to make that happen on someone’s part. CZ does this occasionally with BNB ecosystem, takes an intentional loss for the benefit of the chain

The two cents here is that we need to

1: return to old values
2: grow the space
3: correct some wrongs

Following up on some questions I've received in the past few days about the $NYLA migration.

1. "Do we need to sell now and rebuy the new token" ❌

No, that's not how the migration process works. A migration portal will open where you will deposit current tokens, then when the migration window ends, you will receive back the new tokens at a 1:1 ratio. Supply will be the same on both sides.

The start date for the migration is still pending confirmation from @MigrateFun but it will be near the end of November when we will also release multiple new products and updates.
