Today we celebrate “Thank a Water Hero Day,” a moment to recognize the incredible professionals who keep Phoenix’s water safe, clean, and reliable every single day.
Wishing a meaningful Yom Kippur to all District 8 residents who observe. Yom means “day,” and Kippur means “atonement,” making Yom Kippur a time for reflection, renewal, and hope. May this day bring peace and clarity to you and your loved ones.

I was proud to support this year’s festivities alongside Councilwoman Betty Guardado from District 5, Mayor Kate Gallego and the United Phoenix Firefighters Association as thousands of families filled the streets with music, food, and community.
Happy Hispanic Heritage Month! District 8 honors the resilience, creativity, and cultural legacy of our Hispanic and Latino community. Thank you for enriching our neighborhoods and helping Phoenix grow.
