@kmabecky Everything seemed to click off in the 1910-30's in terms of the more modern look to these towns. Some even earlier.
In California it was the 1950-60's

Lagos, Portugal. There are these tours you can do by Kayak and they take you to some pretty cool places. I did it. BUT! For me these were not full sized Kayak's and MAN did it kill my back and knees! Maybe good if you are 20 or in your 30's. Not so good in your 50's.😅
