This is absolutely abhorrent!
A 24-year-old woman in Georgia has been arrested, charged and faces up to 13 years in prison for... get this... HAVING A MISCARRIAGE and not reporting it.
Republicans are seemingly trying to turn America into the Handmaids Tale.
THIS IS WRONG!
@fordnation Why do you refuse to raise the rates for #odsp to a liveable amount? We are dying because of you!
You are wrong for mistreating this province's most vulnerable and one day you will answer for it!
#UnitedNations Look how Canada treats the disabled! #help#HumanRightsViolations
In Jan 2022 Ford canceled all pain management coverage for those in chronic pain. Now costs $2000 a month. Many are on #ODSPoverty and so in #Ontario If you have $= no pain If no $=live in pain @sylviajones@fordnation
@BindyWho @CheriDiNovo@SylviaJones@fordnation Sounds like classism, gaslighting & fear mongering 🚩. You also seem to forget that ppl on ODSP are tax payers & your use of quotes shows me you're minimizing the validity of disabled ppls experiences. Gross.
The government isn't the victim
😔ODSP NEEDS TO BE 2000$ PER MONTH FOR THE DISABILITY BENEFITS BILL BECAUSE THE RENT IS CLOSE TO 1000 A MONTH AND BILLS AND BASIC NEEDS AND FOOD IS HOW TO MOVE FORWARD FROM THIS HELL HOLE.... EVEN THE HIGHEST ON DISABILITY IS DIRE POVERTY AND MILLIONS STUCK CANT MORE FORWARD.
Well it's official, rent is paid not in full, zero money for food and I'm having to return to the hospital for malnutrition help again which make 3 visits in the last 30 days. @fordnation needs to be held accountable for the gross mistreatment of everyone on #odsp. We are dying!!
@DarrylBeaucham2 @OrvilleLloyd@CP24 Disabled people have to work twice as hard as the average person just to do the bare minimum.. they literally have to fight to be alive. Living is literally a full time job when ur disabled. Do you really think they want to suffer?
I receive the maximum payment you can get from odsp. I’m working hard to find a way to cope with my illness but the fact I can’t even afford to exist prevents me from getting better. I believe an increase in pay will give people with disabilities a better chance at life.
@amostonfire @CP24 This is so disrespectful to everyone who struggles with mental illness. People who receive odsp are not being lazy and they don’t choose not to work. Most of them wish they could live a normal life but their illness prevents them from doing so.
