@NadiaEA01 Yet, we hit a physical dead zone when reaching the galactic halo or neighboring galaxies, where the parallax angle becomes so infinitesimal that it is indistinguishable from instrumental noise and makes direct geometric measurements impossible.
@NadiaEA01 Actually the detectability of parallax depends on the instrument's angular resolution. For a mission as advanced as Gaia, with a precision of about 20 micro arcseconds, we can map the majority of the Milky Way with incredible accuracy.
